Here's a question for everyone... why would NJ want to draft Martin or Swift when they already have Van Horn at PF? Wouldn't it be smarter to trade down in the draft to #4 or #5 to get a good center, and pick up something extra for the #1? ------------------ He who stands for nothing will fall for anything.
2 reasons come to mind : 1. Van Horn is a big SF, not a PF 2. They need an strong PF considering the uncertainty of the health of Jason Williams. ------------------ Houston Rockets Forever!! In Rudy We Trust
I admit that Van Horn is a bit soft for a power forward, but he still works at the position. Why not go after the glaring need for a center which could be gotten at a lower pick. Williams is history so they really need to fill that slot the worst. ------------------ He who stands for nothing will fall for anything.
Van Horn is playing the right position for him at PF. He has stated in the past he does not like to guard the smaller and quicker SF's around the league. He is somewhat of a liability at SF defensively. ------------------ HOOP-T Hey Shaq, Acme called, and they want their bricks back!
I don't think any team should pass on Martin, regardless of their need. If Van Horn can't play anywhere else, trade him. ------------------ http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
The Nets are going to draft Swift over Martin because he has a much better upside for scoring potential. ------------------
