They were a loose end and he didn't want to risk them snitching. The authorities were looking to arrest M19 for the raid.

Netflix Renews "Narcos" For A Second Season

By Garth Franklin Thursday September 3rd 2015 09:23A

Netflix has officially renewed its Pablo Escobar-themed drug drama "Narcos" for a second season.

Wagner Moura plays the Medellin Cartel head in the series which premiered on the service on August 28th and has so far received very good reviews. Scripts for second season episodes are already well underway.

Adam Fierro ("The Shield") will take over as show runner for Chris Brancato ("Hannibal") who oversaw the first season as he's now committed to the biblical drama "Of Kings and Prophets".

It was already 1992 by the last episode.. so they're just going to focus on the last days before escobar's death next season?

    sorry for the spoiler.

That whole scene was ruthless. You build up M19's head acting like they are doing good for the country. Basically knighting the guy with the sword and then murdering all of them. That got me off guard.

Well, Escobar's death was certainly the end of an era, but he was hardly the DEA's final case in Latin America. There are plenty of options for story-telling moving forward, you'd think.

ahh ok I thought season 2 was still going to be on pablo. so it's an anthology format. I put in my request for Noriega, with one of the episodes titled "blue collar man" after styx. :p

They could spend 3-4 episodes before they kill Pablo then focus on the Cali cartel which basically took over after Pablo died.

yeah, i thought there was no way they wouldn't end the Escobar story in season one...i figured they'd focus on a new guy every season, hence the name of the series...but i guess not, at least not yet.

Pablo's accent was bothersome, but that was about it.

Why wasnt he extradited when he was in the Mexican jail? They expect me to believe that they dug him out.
