I always hear people say that Xbox Live is better but in reality the difference is not as big as you make it out to be.

it is. for me, it was for street fighter. I had a ps2 and bought and xbox cause ps2 didn't have street fighter online.

then the same thing for xbox360, they had hyper fighting online, then hd remix/ sf4. by the time ps3 got these games, there was already an established community on xbox live since the first xbox sf2 online.

Don't really want to get into yet another "Is XBL worth paying for?" debate, but one thing I do want to mention is that MS seems to include features/services in the XBL Gold subscription that don't really belong. This would include the Netflix service. Obviously, for people that pay $50 a year to play games online, this isn't an issue. But for people with 360s that are not already Gold members, I don't know if they could justify paying an additional $50 just to use Netflix, especially when this service would be available on other platforms for no extra charge. If they gave more features to Silver users, this probably wouldn't be as big of a deal. Throw in some form of online play (maybe just with fewer community features), and everything would be great.

Of course, as mentioned, they have no incentive to do so since plenty of people are content paying for XBL. I just hope that Sony and other online services (e.g., Steam) don't follow suit in charging for things just because people will gladly pay for them, rather than because that's what it would cost to provide.

Don't know if you were referring to some sort of early estimates/preorder numbers for MW2, or referring to sales of MW1 and/or COD5. If it is the latter, sales were more like ~1.5 to 1 IIRC. And as mentioned, that's most likely due to the difference in console sales, especially given similar ratios for other games that aren't as active on online (and actually...the ratios for some active online games might be closer to 1:1...which would imply that XBL and PSN are equal?).

Apparently fanboy does. I've had Netflix since the very beginning of Netflix. I bet the fanboy won't even get it for his PS3. You DO NEED a Netflix subscription and that cost money.

I doubt that people will buy the PS3 because it offers Netflix now. It's the reverse, the people with PS3s might decide to get Netflix service to stream movies. This must be news to some people cause Netflix is available on many devices, even on TVs.

Yes, it is. I have both systems, and if I want something for online play (sports games, FPS), I will always get it for the 360 for numerous reasons. It is much easier to use, there is a much much larger online community, and everyone has headsets, a HUGE plus.

On PS3 you can watch any movie and even download movies to the system straight from the internet already....might not be legal but very easy and very convenient.(I just watched Zombieland) I dont feel the need to have the netflix for PS3 honestly.

clutchfans doesn't encourage piracy. but it exists and the gaming consoles are just mediums that you can play videos on.

I have both systems... I can tell you that the difference is rather larger than you think... Xbox Live is unmatched... Sony can't hold MS' tail.

Well for one you can stream anything on your computer to your PS3 over the network. It also upconverts the feed.

Does anybody know if this will be compatible with the PSP through Remote Play? That would be nice.

How come I can't use the PS3 as a DVR yet? This was supposed to be implemented early on and now its only overseas. What the heck is going on?
