Nene out for rest of the season

The question is… Do the Spurs fans care as much about Nene as we did about Tony Parker?

Damn, I wonder how much some of those post game lifting sessions had to do with this injury? Still, you would hope that all of the extra off days he had during the regular season would have helped prevent something like this.

I wish the big fella a speedy recovery and hope that he comes back next year. Get well soon big fella and thanks for the solid contributions! You will be missed.

 

Damn, this sucks. Even if we make it past the Spurs, you still have the Warriors where his interior play will be needed.

Nene can do things that Clint/ Montrezl can only dream of. Nene led us single handedly to success against OKC with 28 points without missing a single shot, along with good defense in the 1st round, and has brought tremendous leadership. Clint has a limited offensive game, it's easy to take him out of the game. He was at sea, against OKC after the 1st game. Trez hasn't played for months.

 

He will get tired in the paint, thus limiting his effectiveness as a shooter.

This sucks gigantically. Nene adds so many things. He's basically a rich man's Montrezl.

Montrezl should be decent at least if he gets minutes. Run the floor. GSW is a better matchup for him if we advance.

 

Nene was our only hope of having an advantage over GS. They really don't have the size to stop him he would have ripped them apart.

 

This really hurts. Besides Ariza, his vet presence was a huge factor in the games. It is time for Harrell to put on some big boy pants.

 

Nanu has no experience this deep and against such elite big men in the PlayOffs. It's literally three all-experienced elite bigs if you count David Lee into the Aldridge/Gasol combo against Capela. It is up to Harrell to find composure and compete when he can.
