To be fair, that will be a playoff team in the West, but within the bottom 4 seed. Definitely not a container. Also remember a Key, McHale will be the coach. With that group, don't think he would be fired like 2 season ago
I think about that trade a lot. 1. We would've never gotten James Harden. 2. We'd be watching some completely alternate universe version of the Rockets right now. Maybe McHale never gets fired. 3. Mike D'Antoni joins a Lakers team with Chris Paul and builds around a different core. 4. The Clippers sign Steve Nash but never really develop Griffin or DJordan into starter caliber players. 5. Harden stays in OKC, and is competing with Lou Williams for 6MOY; never blossoms into a superstar or gets his own $200M shoe deal. 6. Durant never leaves for Golden State. Westbrook never enters the MVP conversation, either. 7. Draymond Green is drafted by the Cavaliers, one spot ahead in the second round of 2012. After he 8. kicks a few players in summer league, he never sticks in the NBA and is playing in Turkey. 9. Sam Dekker never meets Ms. Harlan. Harden never dates Khloe Kardashian. 10. Lamar Odom goes to New Orleans and never melts down like he did in Dallas. 11. Dwight Howard stays in the east and continues to make conference finals, avoiding his eventual loser reputation. 12. The Spurs draft Rudy Gobert. The draft orders since 2012 change completely. The NBA is completely changed. All because of #basketballreasons
