Solid pickup for the room exception. Brings a toughness to our team we desperately need. Can't wait to see him get into scuffles with Draymond. I like the optimism around here, but he's definitely declined and doesn't rebound well, so posting per 36 stats are pointless. Wonder what Morey has left in store.

God, I certainly hope not. I'm pretty cool with the big man rotation right now, but if DMo is gone, things look a hell of a lot bleaker. Would Montrezl Harrell would become the primary backup PF? Because that's legitimately terrifying.

Over his last 8 years, he's averaged 64 games per season.

Over his last 4, he's still averaged 60 games per season.

Both of those averages are dragged down by him missing half a season in 2011-12.

But yeah, basically you can count on him to play 75% of the games, and give you 20-25 solid minutes in each.

Exactly. They always want Morey to sign the stars, like its just that easy to do.

This was a good pickup for us. Vet C on a cheap deal who still has some game left. We wont be relying on him to carry us, just play his role. As I said before, im sure there are still more moves to come so don't judge this one on it's own.

    1) Agreed. I think Morey got a big dose of reality this summer when it became apparent how much culture and relationships matter. Mark Cuban was right when he said players should choose organizations. Players want to join organizations that they believe have stable cultures and are going to win, but they don't want you to NEED them in order to win. It's like great recruits wanting to play for Alabama or Kentucky or Duke or Michigan. They don't all just get together and go play for Tulane.

    2) The salary cap change is a big deal and Morey talked about it.

    3) I agree, I expect another amnesty clause.

Beasley would probably pick up the majority of those minutes, which is survivable because I think he's a more productive 4 than 3 anyways.

We still got money right? What's next? A backup PG?

Not as terrifying as 2016-version TJones at backup PF would be.

Continuing our "NO DEFENSE" theme of free agency. We are consistent.

I keep forgetting that a Houston Rockets version of Michael Beasley exists. What a weird turn this roster has taken in the last few months...

Ahh Codman was saying Nene not Barbosa then? Or both? :)
I really hope we trade some guys, because just using our last bit of cap space on D-Mo would be really messed up..

I thought DMo was going to be Dan Tony's "main PF"?
