    I think you will continue to get it if you drop, but you will have to make up the hours over the $ummer. You have to complete 24 hours in the year in order to be considered a full time student. GPA matters, but how many hours you attempt doesn't (as long as it's 12 per semester). Dropping 1 class is okay.

    That said, good luck. Philosophy is a b****. I hope you use the reading materials.

    Scan the book and put it up so we can read it? Not sure if the versions on the internet are the ones that are acceptable to the professor.

    I'm not asking for miracles... I don't expect anyone to read 200+ pages of text for my sake... I just want to know if anyone has some expereince in those books and can point me to the correct parts of The Republic and the Apology that I can quickly scan through.

    I've done 3 pages in one hour, but it was on which president to vote for (Obama or Kerry) and why. Plenty of stuff available for that on the internet. I think I got lucky and the grader was an Obama fan.

    I loved blow off classes.

    Yeah, you should be recalculating your GPA and browsing the catalog and last year's Summer/Fall schedules to find replacement electives.

    If I'm correct, the apology is about Socrates right? You can right about his argument when he was telling them how he was put in jail by mistake. The court hearing.

    It may be common sense but my professor is just too much and very biased. It's annoying as ****.

    at the very least, don't you have friends in the class or others who've taken it or similar?

    talking personally with the prof always yielded results. Bull**it them, charm them, play on there sympathy (no dead relatives...too obvious) or be honest...whtever best suits your social characteristics.

    I've earned delays & even had my entire semester grade being based on a single paper though i'd missed EVERY single assignment & test in the class (Ancient & Medieval Political Thought)...Professor Lence, Koroido!

    A. I made an A in the class and and A's and B's on every paper. Very easy course.

    I came out with a B- in Philosophy though. Hated that class.
