I think we need a banger PF/back up center. Cato would be perfect.

You can't combine a player and a TE to make a trade. Trade Denied.

They would never do it. Croshere is expiring. There is no way they just take on Juwan's contract for just his talent. D Miles is the best and only shot we have at moving Juwan now that Fisher and Lafrentz have been traded.

No offense, but why would we trade for Croshere, when we just got a better role player in Battier? To get rid of Howard's contract? We would save a year on Juwon's contract, but why on earth would the Pacers do it?

I, by no means, support the trade. TManiaC suggested it and krosfyah said it wouldn't work. I was just saying that it would work.

According to HoopsHype though, Croshere's contract is expiring.

Sorry. I figured that out after I made my post, which is when I read your next one. :)

Oh, and according to Patricia's site, Croshere's contract runs through '07, with Howard having a player option for '08. Any bets on whether he'll use that option? No? ;)

Iv'e said it before but, I guess people don't listen  . When T-Mac and Yao were out with injuries it was Howard who was the leading scorer with around 25-30 points. Besides if we can get a shooting gaurd, Battier can play PF and T-Mac at SF that way we keep howard as a backup PF.

I think they should sign MJ and trade Rafer Alston. We really don't need two PG making 5-6 million per year. Either do a SnT for Bonzi Wells or go for a solid PF who can post up. With the exception of Yao, we really have no post-up players. Trading Rafer Alston with MLE or TE should be able to provide a solid SG,PF/C. Other than MJ or T-Mac, we have no one who can penetrate to the basket. What's going to happen when Yao's on the bench, who's going to post up for us. We're not a run and shoot team, we need a penetrator or post-up presence to create plays for us. Keep in mind, eventhough we need some depth, MJ, T-mac, and Yao should be eating up alot of the minutes at their position. So that means we have Battier, Novak/J. Howard/Bogans/Deke/Head/Hayes off the bench playing along side T-Mac, MJ, and Yao. That's 10 players not including R.Alston, trade him and get more of what we need.

I think Croshere can bring more to Houston than Juwan has in terms of spreading the defense and rebounding. Pollard is to add depth in the front court.

I dont know why Indiana would do it, but I know they were chasing Howard a couple years ago.

croshere will be sitting on the bench, injured. he's nothing more than a salary dump.

    pollard is just garbage.

I agree. Give me a decent all around 2 with good size/quickness and I think most of the time we can live with a primary front line of Yao, Batt and Tmac. JHow is there the few times we need more girth versus a power 4, there are fewer in the league now (e.g., Brand).

We didn't draft one, so we need to pick one up. I'm sure we can't get him, and he can be a nut-case, but Bonzi would fit the bill.

Avery Johnson just traded Marquis Daniels for Austin Croshere. I guess Johnson didnt think Croshere was nothing more than a salary dump that would be sitting on the bench, injured.
