Need ideas for a weekend trip (Texas only. Maybe.)

    Natchitoches, LA. It's one of my favorite small towns, and less than 4 hours from Houston. It's a really nice town, and it's really close to Hodges Gardens, which is one of the most beautiful state parks anywhere.

    Other than that, my recommendations are Garner/Lost Maples, or Fredricksburg/Enchanted Rock.
