Does anybody know what I can do to "view' .avi files as opposed to hear them. My friend sent me this file that's .avi. But only the sound plays when I play in windows media player or real player. I would appreciate any help. thanks
I posted the same question a couple of weeks ago, if I had the search option I would show you, but.... go to divx.com and download the player. If that doesnt work go on limewire or kazaa and download a similar player.

Also try "Nimo Codec Pack". That program basically has all of the codecs out that you need to play almost any Video file.
If you get the new Kazaa Lite V 2.03, it comes with something called AVI Preview. It's the best thing, and will work with almost anything. You can also preview, duh, files you download before they finish. Nostra Divx also works.
