Need help (a Kidney), serious response only please. Hi folks, ever since I discovered this awesome site back in the clutchcity.com days, I have been coming on to visit at least once a day, rain or shine even though I seldom post. Everyone in here feels like a family member to me even though I don't know you personally. I need you help today, I have been diagnosed with a condition called IgA Nephropathy over 15 years ago, it is a chronic kidney failure in which a type of antibody called IgA get caught in the glomeruli of the kidneys, became imflamed and destroying the filtration functions of the kidney. Therefore, I am asking for a kidney , I know this is a lot to ask, but I have no where else to turn now after exhausting all other avenues. My kidney function is down to only 16% of a normal person, and my MD suggested that I get a transplant very soon. I will be turning 40 years next week, and I have been praying and hoping for a kidney recovery (other than Rockets getting back to the top) ever since I was 26 years old. I currently live in San Antonio, my blood type is A+, so anyone with blood type A or O can be a potential donor for me. If you or you know of anyone who is willing or considering donating a kidney, please let me know. All expenses will obviously be covered by my insurance & myself. Give me another chance at life, thank you. Please don't feel bad if you can't donate, it really is a lot to ask!
don't know if it helps but go to the IAMA section on reddit.com There is a thread about a person with some kind of nephropathy and people are willing to donate their kidneys on there. pretty unreal. hope you find a match. good luck. http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/cyy39/i_am_a_21_year_old_whos_kidneys_are_completely/
