Get the Nissan. Mitsubishi is the only japanese maker that ranks below average in reliability.

Tell them about the Bronco II. I'm not very familiar with it but a certain member is an expert.

That's the 2005 Chevy Equinox, available by spring this year. I like it too. I've been thinking about a new SUV lately -- hard because I just paid off two cars about a year and a half ago -- but man, according to Chevy's website the base model is only $21,560!!!

Here's a link if you wanna go check it out. Actually, all of the new Chevys are pretty hot-looking. Reliability and depreciation may be another thing though...

Hey, even if I'm the only one who keeps laughing at this, it's worth it! :D Thanks, AB.

I know there is a joke about the Bronco II, but I missed the thread. Does anyone have the link or can explain for those who missed it?

Isn't or hasn't the Highlander come out with that third row? I thought it was in the works but I could be wrong.

It was news to me, but I checked www.Edmonds.com and you are correct. The AWD/3rd row Highlander and the Pilot (AWD/3rd row standard) are very comparable in price.

By the way the Acura MDX and Lexus 330 are basically the above 2 models with different window dressing and 5-7K price difference. The Pilot actually comes out better in emergency manovers than the MDX for some reason though.

If what you really need is a minivan but want the look of an SUV I would think the front wheel drive 3rd row seat Highlander fits the bill.

Trader_Jorge has often boasted about his "luxury SUV," and AB proposed that the SUV is, in fact, a Bronco II. This has been neither confirmed nor denied.
