I'm married and my wife goes to a coed gym (so do I). She also has a male personal trainer. I couldn't care less. At least she's staying in shape Tell your bro-in-law that he's being ridiculous. I don't even think that female-only gyms exist Also, if he is so concerned, he can go and work out with her. If she is putting in the effort to get into shape, he should as well.
whats next? no co-ed resturants, workplaces, public transportation. come on! this has never even occurred to me that some men might have a problem with their women going to work out at a co-ed gym. Good lord...you want her to fit in at curves (diary ranch?)

Arent they all co-ed? Wait I guess they have some ladies gyms and stuff. If you are worried about it, then it sounds like there are some trust issues there. Personally if my girl wants to get fit and trim, Im all for it. If it worries you that much, just join.
I agree exactly, except that I am married. I know that my wife is attractive (she has very striking red hair) and yes she has been hit on since we have been married, even a handful of times with me being around. It's a fact of life that many men, even the ones that are supposedly taken, are horny bastards and they can't take their eyes off any attractive woman. So, if my wife went to a gym and I didn't go, you better believe that I know there would be guys looking at her and probably trying to hit on her. However, I also know that she would just laugh in their face and tell them to get lost. I would never care if she wanted to go out by herself and there would be guys at the place she is going. When you are secure and have trust in a long-term relationship, then you don't worry about those things. Nothing is worse than a guy (or a woman) that comes across as possessive and clingy and insecure. When someone is like that, it only causes their partner, IMO, to want to be with someone else. So, unless your brother-in-law wants to drive your sister away and into the arms of another man, I think he needs to ease up and let her join the gym if she wants to.

Keeping her away from a co-ed gym is a great idea! Then he can keep her away from any co-ed workplace, co-ed supermarkets, and basically restrict her social circles so that she never sees another man but him again. A woman is just like anyone else--if she wants to cheat, she'll cheat. Keeping her from a gym won't do anything.
Better yet try a bodybuilding forum. That would be really interesting. Preferably the one linked to awhile ago w/ the kid who threatened to assassinate the president and all the guys there posted topless pics of themselves w/ their head cut off.

Curves is just for women i believe. I dunno if its in H-town but i know its in the east coast and Dallas.
