Not wearing a suit to an interview is an exception, not a rule. Its expected, and when its not expected, it doesn't really matter. Its a show of respect to those interviewing you. Not wearing a suit may be OK, but many times its not. Odds are, a suit is the way to go. For first interviews: Dark Navy suit.
