Dont know if Electronic Boutique is national or not, but.... I popped in there today, and noticed a slew of PS2 games (new) from 19.99 to 34.99. Shocked I asked the manager why all the PS2 games except for 2 (even newer releases) were priced so lowly...apearantly, people are very, very dissatisfied with the quality of games from PS2 so far, and arent touching the games. I have to tell you. I played Tekken tag...I sucked. Graphics didnt blow me away. Compared to Soul Calibre it was destroyed. but the hidden bowling game captured more of my attention than did the actual game itself. ------------------ "I have amazing, powers of observation"...Pink
bobrek -- I'm jealous! I need a kick ass big TV... got the whole home theater setup but the 27" Sony isn't cutting it. There's a place here in Austin (called "Home Theater Store" on Burnett) that is like an entertainment center lover's dream. Huge living rooms dedicated to one TV... flat panel plasma screens (only $16,000), 54" Mitsubishi wide screens.... I'm dreaming of course if I think I can afford one.... but dreaming of having one of those babies is fun dreamshake -- some of the games for PS2 have been discounted... I haven't played really anything except Tekken Tag and Madden 2001, but Madden 2001 on PS2 is the greatest sports video game out there to date. Thought it was hilarious how we played a game on Christmas Eve and James Brown introducing the game says, "Merry Christmas to everyone from EA Sports"... Looking forward to seeing NBA Live 2001 (end of this month) ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
Clutch I hit the daily double today, the TV was delivered this morning and the PS 2 came in this afternoon. ------------------
They're down to as low as $320 on eBay now. I wonder if $3000 was worth it? ------------------ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi

Woo hoo... so did mine. I must say the packaging was lame. This thing may have been through hell and back on the way here... only half filled with styrofoam peanuts and the PS2 box tilted awkwardly in the shipping box. Time to hook the bad boy up... Don't waste your money on any 989 games, I made the mistake of buying NCAA Final Four, and Gambreaker 2001, and they both suck. ------------------
