Why does Adelman need to be renamed? He's the freaking coach and thus not subject to a nickname. Just continue to refer to him as RA. Rick's likely to outlast Rafer on the team, anyway, so he gets priority when it comes to the initials. Rafer, on the other hand, should NEVER go by RA. Just call him "Rafer", "Alston", or "Skip". (Hell, I'll even accept "RA12", like SF3). Or, if you're feeling mean, call him "Reefer", "Dumbass", "Idiot", "That Guy That Can't Shoot", or something else derogatory. But never RA. I mean, do you call McGrady "TM" or Yao Ming "YM"? When it comes to discussing players around here, we tend to refer to them by their first or last name, never by their initials. Why should that change now?
So when Rafer doesn't stop taking threes even though he's missed his last 14 shots, should we call it Reefer Madness?
Just use "Rick". That way it's so much easier for people to make funny thread titles when they're pissed at him. Example: "Rockets crumble down the stretch AGAIN!!! Thanks, Dick Assh0leman!"
In college the RA was the Resident Advisor to the people on the floor it was the Resident *ss Rocket River I voted for RICK THE RULER!
He doesn't have enough personality to be assigned a nickname. He has the charisma of a commode float. Nothing personal, just not exactly Mr. Excitement.
