Is that in order? (just trying to get an idea where PowerPoint falls). PowerPoint is the main app I use. We just use Word and Excel to pull data (we're a marketing research group). Photoshop to enhance the presentation.
whoa, that works for me. How 'bout a face to face? Feel like taking a drive to Denton? Any examples of the work you can send? I trust your PS skills, so anything you've done in PowerPoint would be great.
Whoa... Rocket, where in denTON do you work? I worked at the CASGAL computer labs at UNT for over 2 years, and I also worked as a news anchor for KNTU for a little over one.
Hey blathersby, Live in Denton, work from home. LOL...KNTU (or whatever it was called back then). I remember singing/playing their radio amateur hour about 30 years ago. I guess it's too late for a Rockets veiwing, but lets get together and do a beer or two. How about Dan's?
I'd love to... when I get back up there. I moved back to Houston last August. I'll probably be back up in Denton near the end of May or the beginning of June.
Do you have experience with Quicken? I know someone looking for a part-time bookkeeper in the Dallas area.
Yes... but that might be a bit... um... Let's just say I already use that program at my current occupation, and I'd rather not have more of it in my head. BTW- RocketRaccoon is a cool dude.
So... the interview/opportunity with RocketRaccoon went smoothly enough I guess... but the corporate peeps had an idea about letting an internal employee have a shot at the position first... Meanwhile, the bills keep coming... Any one out there have a good position available for a guy that will try his best to learn it and knock it out of the park? I'm house trained.
Why don't you try some temp agencies? It sounds like they could probably hook you up with jobs that allow you to work from 8-2 or something like that. Have you explored any of those companies?
