The hyperbole was on the Dallas/New England game, which was "Game of the Century" to only one person on this board. But with the Colts and Pats it's hard to say that this isn't the most intriguing regular season game in a long, long time. If the Pats win big then you might as well crown them already, but if it's close or the Colts win, then it sets up an even bigger showdown in the playoffs. Either way, that's compelling stuff right there.
I feel sick. Is there a ****ing luckier team on the planet? That's the single most embarrassing play I've seen in football all season. High school teams make that tackle.
Yeah Colts are getting very lucky. Two crucial pass interference calls (equals 6 points) and that long TD pass by Addai.
Penalty yards: 102 to 5... I think everyone knows who in favor of. I'm just crushed. I knew the Patriots had a shot at losing today. What I didn't expect was to potentially lose by making one of the worst plays in NFL history -- a play essentially every high school team could've contained.
Go Colts go! The Colts have always been my favorite non-Houston team, but I honestly thought NE would beat the today. So far they have been impressive. Hopefully they can keep it going.
never one to tone down the hyperbole are you The Cat? and i'm pretty sure you don't like the pass interference calls b/c you don't like the colts, not the other way around. is this the about instance #45356 of the "worst officiated game you've ever seen"? calm down and don't always think the world is out to get you (especially when it's the freakin' patriots we're talking about, who have had a ton of great breaks and iffy calls over the years go their way).
I'm watching the game with Colts fans... they admitted both were incredibly fortunate. Even so, don't mean to detract from what the Colts are doing defensively. It's amazing how Tony Dungy has turned this team around, and I give him all the credit in the world. Very impressive. Also, I hope the big game version of Manning is returning.
The Colts won the Super Bowl because of an outstanding running game and an incredible defensive turnaround. Manning's postseason numbers in 2007: 97-153, 3 TD, 7 INT, 70.5 rating
Why can't the Texans, with all the investments we've made over the years, get even half the push the Colts' defensive line does? Even though I can't stand them, they're incredible to watch.
Almost to their detriment, the focus of the Colts on defense is speed, especially in their front 7. Speed is what gets QB sacks. But sometimes teams with huge offensive lines can wear their smallish players down. The Jags rushed for over 300 yards against them in one game last year.
