This will be a statement game for Moss and the Patsy defense who gave up a lot of points to the Colts the last time they met. I am guessing 38-17 NE.
Addai is better than Maroney, but Maroney looked good yesterday. I really have no idea who will win this game, but I really want to know if NE will cover 4.5? Or will Indy win? My gut says I should put down on Indy. But NE has looked so good... I don't see how I don't take the line of only 4.5 with NE is playing.
To me, the difference in this game is that Peyton Manning has demonstrated in the past that he CAN be flustered and taken out of his comfort zone. The Pats have demonstrated their ability to do this to him more than just about any team. Brady, on the other hand, is unflappable and always seems to make the right decisions even when facing heavy pressure. It may not happen until late in the game, but I predict this will be nip and tuck until Peyton makes a key mistake and the Pats capitalize on it. Then the game is over.
I'd love to see the Patriots go down in flames, but I doubt they will. The NFL is murphy's law when it comes to my particular favorites. Patriots 31 Colts 17
Game of the Century, no...But I'll be watching it...It'll be overhyped like the Boys v Pats but this one should be pretty good... Good football weekend for me as this game, then the Boys v Eagles and Coogs v SMU on ESPN on Sunday night... I think the Pats win by 2 TD's...
Once it was 38-0 in the 4th, I could sense the 'Skins were ready to make a run. Thankfully the Pats were able to give themselves some breathing room with those last two TDs. Although what was Bellichek doing taking Brady out of the game at 45-0? The man likes to live on the edge.
game of the century?? in the regular season?? This game is WAY too insignificant to be the game of the century. If they met in the AFCCG undefeated, then possibly, but not a regular season game.
Bellichek is the biggest jerk in NFL, hopefully one day he will fall on hard luck and every team will beat him like a drum, that would be great!
Yeah I realize this, and seven years is more than enough time for many bigtime playoff games to occur that are way more significant than a game where the only implifications will be getting in position for the 1 or 2 seed in the conference. It is probably the most hyped-up game, but not the "game of the century".
Well no 7-0 team had ever played another 7-0 or better team before in football history, and the NE is considered by many to be the greatest team in hisotry. The colts are the defending champ and winner of last twelve games in a row, so you know it wouldn't be a stretch to call it game of the century. While the playoffs are more important, you have them every year. How long would it take for another match up of 7-0 and better teams? 50 years, 100 years?
If I were playing the Pats and down 38-0, I would blitz on every single down - with lots of people to knock down Brady. I'm going to get scored on anyway, but I'd make them rethink throwing the ball.
Ya, but that was before he became this super jerk we know of. If Brady get hurt in a blow out and sidelined for the rest of the season, let's see what excuses he would come up with then.
that's hyperbole right? The Giants and 49ers were both 10-0 in 1990 when they met. I'm sure there's been others since then.
