My only hope to win the money pool is for Michigan St. and Michigan St. to meet up in the finals. I had Pitt beating Michigan St. in the Championship.
I can't believe MSU won this game. During the interview afterwards, even Tom Izzo admitted he didn't know if they could win.
Great start for UNC. I hope Ellington has a monster game, so fun to watch him play. Smooth player. Meanwhile, Hansborough doing a pretty decent job on Blake Griffin.
UNC is playing Blake Griffin VERY well right now. They're mixing up defenses and sending immediate double-teams. We're 12 minutes into the game right now and he's attempted only two shots from the field. UNC's scoring is pretty evenly distributed and they're locking everybody down defensively. This one might get ugly.
What made you pick Memphis and Gonzaga to make the final four? Neither team had one impressive victory in the regular season that made you go they could win the Championship.
i'm a huge mid major guy. i mean my team is the dayton flyers (we got one!) on top of it..both memphis and zags at this point really shouldnt be considered "mid majors", memphis is a solid team, figured calipari would have them ready. gonzaga actually beat UNC in pre season tourney...so I knew they could hang with em if they played their best. lastly, it was for a huge office pool, with 100+ people or so..so had to go with some different teams to hope they pulled it out
I didn't realize I was amongst a fellow A10 rival here. Did you enjoy watching my Dukes bounce you out of the A10 Tourney? P.S. You should just let me have this moment. When making the NIT is considered a monumental achievement to your school, you have to take what you can get.
I just wasn't feeling Memphis this year with them losing Rose,Douglas-Roberts, and Dorsey. I just couldn't imagine Anderson and Dozier leading them. I knew Evans was good though, Memphis better hope he stays, even though the have a real good recruiting class. I just wasn't sold on Gonzaga this year because they didn't have any big wins. They may struggle next year if Austin Daye leaves.
you could have said that about memphis last season, as well....before the played for the championship they should have held on to against KU.
Except for the fact that Memphis had some impressive Out of Conference wins last year. Pretty big difference from this year.
I was surprised when MSU beat Kansas. I was shocked when they beat Louisville. I was stunned when they beat UConn. Even after all of that, MSU will get slammed by UNC on Monday. I've liked Tom Izzo for a long time and want them to win, but you gotta be real.
I like Izzo a lot too. I dont know..they played in ford field earlier in november and MSU got worked..but man, MSU is playing a whole different level of defense since the tourney began. I just want a good NC game. Doesnt have to be as great as last seasons...but no blowout
Villanova is playing this game about as stupidly as possible, yet they only trail by 10. Perhaps there is hope for MSU on Monday. They are a MUCH smarter team. If 'Nova had hit a couple more close-in shots and hadn't committed so many dumb TOs, they would have the lead.
