Unless a major upset is going on looks like my alma mater gonna get eliminated today @ sweet 16. Furthest was elite 8 in 1947 rip.
Possible BKN pick targets Kendall Brown and Jeremy Sochan underwhelmed. Baylor about to be upset unless a miracle happens.
Haven't seen much ACC but Manek gets thrown out and now Baylor is on a HUGE run to get back in the game. Anyway some highlights Liddell: shaking it up a player not in the top 5. Honestly I think he is better than Keegan. The Usuals: Jabari Chet Paolo
If Agbaji were to fall to the Brooklyn pick for instance, would we have to take him instead of drafting a big? We need help in the paint but shouldn’t abandon best available at this point.
It's a really tough one. For me, Kessler is the scariest of the 3, but has great upside. He is a huge frame, but kind of soft - could end up like Brook Lopez (which would be brilliant) - but could be a pillow who gets pushed around too much. The shooting potential is there - as is the open court handling, but it all needs to come together still I doubt Duren will be there at the Nets pick - I assume he goes in the lottery. The difference between Duren and Williams (to me) seems to be "attention" more than anything else. To my eye, there is a similar level to them - ie, not much in it at all So to answer the question 1. Duren (won't be there at the Nets pick) 1a. Williams 3. Kessler (I think there is a dropoff from the first 2) Personally I might look at a long wing though
I like this thinking as well. We should be looking at best available but the thing I like about guys like Agbaji, Tshiebwe, Liddell etc. Is they are upper classmen that have shown consistent improvement. These players always seem to succeed and will contribute to a winning culture. Tate was a similar player although I thought he was too small to ever make it look at him now. Miami is team I feel that follows this motto. We have a lot of talent know use our 1st on the high potential but use the rest of the draft to im and get these strong players. Any big we take will still need a couple years before they are effective anyway and I'm kind of high on some of the young big FA that could be available. Bamba? Byrant?
Sochan has always been my top 2 realistic option for Nets pick. Liddell is another. But Sochan still only 18, already so smart + long.
Agreed, I think the team is 1-2 years away from even considering need. It’ll probably be another ‘worst 5’ team next year and then after the 2023 offseason the future may start to take shape. imo we can’t be too attached to guys like Sengun, Christopher, or our Brooklyn pick this year, those players are very likely to be packaged for a vet later on to pair with core of Green/2022 pick.
Outside of the Nets pick range (if only we had other picks to bundle with it and trade up!), but Kennedy Chandler is carrying Tennessee against Michigan, doing his best to not get Barnes humiliated in the tourney as usual.
