Murray and Iowa go down in Rd 1. Wasn’t Murrays fault…he put up 21 and was largely responsible for why they were even in the game. Chet with a dominant defensive showing so far with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks at the half. Not much going on offensively. After years of not having a 1st round pick, it’s nice for these performances to have some relevance to us.
Don't let Murray stat line fool you he was bad defensively... He was a turnstile on defense just giving away layups. Then their zone was so trash. Both these teams came in hot figure he would have more fight. Offensively Keegan is their offense. Currently watching Zags... GSU is the smallest team in the tourney and they aren't really feeling Time/Chets size. Chet has a ton of weak size blocks but I guess I'm just expecting more out of him not really dominanting the way I would expect #1. Excited to see Chet vs Duren.
I'm watching very critical because I only care about the Buckeyes... But GSU losing Nsosme guy is more impactful than the what the zags we're doing maybe it just coincidence though. The went on the huge run and Timme was just walking into the paint.
Timme is like Sengun but without any actual offensive skill. Chet is going to absolutely feast in Houston with a spread out offense.
They were and are definitely feeling Gonzaga inside. Credit to gsu for keeping competitive for so long, but to say they weren't feeling it is just not accurate. And chet has looked great defensively. He consistently puts himself in the "right" spot on switches and on defense in general. That's not even mentioning his absurd block count and rebounds. He's looked amazing, but it's hard looking past his lankiness I swear lol
Yes but let's not forget it took them 3/4 to finally pull away from the 16th seed. Memphis doesn't play great but their bigs are actually big and get physical and finally are getting healthy.
19-17. 7 blocks, 2 steals, 5 assists. 0 turnovers. He may never be a 1a option on offense, but his ability to stuff the stat sheet with limited mistakes is pretty unique for a big.
