Sorry for not providing a link didnt have much time to do research either, but I checked and yes it was MBA... http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/directory/dir-mba/brief/glanc_01222_brief.php
Ok, angry longhorn fans, if you have to resort to finding Rice's newest graduate program to find some academic strength of UT-Austin to compare against, I'd like to direct your attention to something: http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/natudoc/tier1/t1natudoc_brief.php PWNT (scroll way down to #52 to find UT-Austin...) bwwwwaaaaahahahahahahhaha
Show me some stats about salary-thats what it comes down too, money. I dont care that rice is rated higher according to US news. We have hotter girls, better athletics, get paid more, cost less. PWNT-grow up
mrdave.. your mba program is rated higher thus pays more... rice overall undergrad is rated significantly higher than UT.. what makes you think that UT average salary is more??
I don't even go to Rice.. but bigtexx was talking about undergrad.. I don't think you can judge undergrad salaries based on mba salaries
Can base it on whatever you want, theres a pretty big correlation between undergrad business and grad business at Texas. All that bigtexx showed was a USNEWS survey ranked Rice as a school harder to get into...whoopdy doo
either way its not the point of this thread so i apologize for de-railing it, im just sick of bigtexx starting threads that put a ridiculous spin on The University of Texas. i shouldnt let it bother me but it does
This isn't a ridiculous spin job that I'm putting on here. The Longhorns are losing 10% of their scholarships. That is a big deal.
The Longhorns men's baseball team is losing 10% of their scholarships. As are 98 or whatever teams in the nation. Hardly a big deal.
There are only 21 baseball teams losing scholarships. Only UT-Austin and Texas Tech are losing scholarships in the state of Texas. Really there are only 3 big name programs that are losing baseball scholarships - UT-Austin, UT-Knoxville, and Ok State. So UT-Austin is one of only 3 big name baseball programs losing scholarships.
mrdave.. yeah, I mean undergrad as a whole.. I'm sure ut undergrad business makes more than Rice.. considering I don't think Rice has a business undergrad department... but doesn't really matter.. not point of the thread . like you said
Get it? We drink tea and thats funny. Also if you reverse the letters UT and make them TU, thats funny too bc theyre reversed. See, theyre not supposed to be like that! When you live in the middle of nowhere, I guess these things happen...
Ok inferior-complexed rice fans... UT's twice the size of just about any University that ranks higher. 50k students...and ranks in the top 20 in public U's academically, tops in the Nation in sports, great research (18th in Nation, 7th among Public U's...rice...a humliating 40th about 9 rungs below A&M)). What a fantastic and crucial public service for the State of Texas. If Texans had the option to disown either UT or Rice...
What's the point? That just over 3% of the baseball teams that bent the rules had a good program? Doesn't sound like bending the rules had much effect. Thanks for illuminating that point.
Wow, you just keep coming back for more. Let's see, Rice is the birthplace of nanotechnology (discovery of carbon 60 - the Buckyball), and nanotechnology will change the world as we currently know it. Cures for Cancer and AIDS, incredible new building materials, a revolution in electronic capability/design, new food sources, etc. UT-Austin: they beat USC in a game of football. UT-Austin has been disowned.
By who? The President? Both UT and Texas A&M have engineering schools that are far superior to Rice's as well. http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/rankings/eng/brief/engrank_brief.php 12. The University of Texas 14. Texas A&M University . . . . 29. Rice University
Oh my god, bigtexxx just brought out the molecular big guns - he just went C60 on Cohen's arse. Decorum be damned. New low in the BBS. Texxx, be forewarned, a stern rebuke from a moderator may be in your future. Oh, and for the record, I think you could argue C60 was first "discovered" in the 70's by Sir Harold Kroto of the University of Sussex, and his collaborations with the Rice scientists (or squires/page boys, to the great SIR Harold) later led to the actual synthesis thereof, which is why they all shared in the Nobel Prize. http://www.bristol.ac.uk/Depts/Chemistry/MOTM/buckyball/c60a.htm
So assume UT loses however many scholarships, and still wins a NC in baseball....what will you say then? By the way, both UT and Rice are great schools, depending on what a student wants. For someone so against college athletics (texxx), you sure do make a lot of posts related to them, especially UT.
