3 out of 4 not bad.

Not that I picked them, but Ayoob is indeed aweful or that game could have been fun. I don't think Fresno is a real threat, but USC out not to overlook UCLA. UCLA has a lot of offensive talent, they can score on USC if their game is on. All depends on if UCLA can play inspired D or if USC's offense is way off.

The problem with defending USC is no DL line has stayed with their OL all year. They talk about all the bla bla skill talent they have, which they do have, but it would be all for not if not the gaping running holes and/or gobs of time Leinart has. No one seems to talk about the real USC MVPs, their big uglies. Those 5 guys are a force, and the key to beating them is handling them.

OU/Tech has gone from Tech expected to pound OU to a tossup in the span of 3 weeks. And the sad thing is, OU is really bad this year. They can spit out that stat about their 3 losses having a 30-2 record, or whatever, but they failed to put the Ags or Baylor away at home. But then Tech can't run their offense away from lubbock right now, lucky for them this game is in Lubbock. And these are at worst the 3rd/4th best teams in the conference. As far as SC goes, the only way a PAC 10 team beats them is if they outscore them, and the problem with that is that PAC 10 teams tend to lean towards pass first systems, which means they will struggle to play keep away from USC's offense.

TCU is #15 in the nation now. #14 in the BCS standings and IIRC, that's 2 spots out of some kind of BCS bowel?

They are done with their season at 10-1.

Hopefully some good upsets in the next 2 weeks.

If it wasn't for Ayoob our whole season could've been fun. What a waste of a great O-line and two quality backs... :(

Actually, it's impressive of Tedford to have a shot at a 7-4 record with such a lousy QB.

Top 12 in the BCS gives you eligibility to be in a bowl but by no means would they get an invite. Those will go to the schools above them. However, it is an achievement and if they hadn't decided to fall asleep against SMU, they couldve spoiled the show and snuck into the top 6 and gotten a guaranteed BCS spot.

the number can't be too big...

of schools that rank.. Rice only accepted 82 total last year that weren't in the top 10% of their class..

    vj..

I can believe the part about not being happy there. You make a good point. Some people wouldn't like a school that small..

But anyways to end this convo, I apologize once again. I meant no insult when I said UT wasn't the same level as Rice (a top 20 school)...

Just like I know we aren't on the same level as Yale. UT is a great school.. Rice is great.. etc.. but unless you are Harvard.. there is always someone better.

Didn't mean an insult by it. I strongly considered going to UT. I just knew I PERSONALLY wouldn't be happy there.

Go Horns... win us a champ.
