nope, that's a horrible situation for UT- no longhorn fan should be rooting for OSU next week (you listening, LonghornFan?)- it basically guarantees Tech backing into the big 12 championship. if osu beats OU, then it's still between texas vs tech (same records), and tech goes to the big 12 championship game due to tech winning the head to head. there's no way OU doesn't pass UT- they lost early, even though it was to UT. They demolished tech in a game everyone saw, and this game will also bump OU in all the computer rankings (strength of schedule will improve a lot for OU with tonight's win), since they played (and crushed) the BCS #2. Then, for good measure, they will play (and probably beat) a ranked OSU team next week (further boosting their SOS in the computers), while Texas gets middling A&M. OU is in unless they stumble against OSU, then it's Tech, unless they lose to Baylor. The best scenario for UT (MNC-wise) would probably be for OU to lose in the big 12 championship to Mizzou. I'm not sure it matters much, with the way Florida's been playing. Those guys look really tough. At least this means UT will probably go to a BCS bowl over Tech. poor fatty
Is Bradford the Heisman frontrunner now? This is an epic raping. There's always next year, Fatty. *snicker*
If OKST beats OU, we wont be in the big 12 title game, but wouldnt we be in the national championship game? Or do you have to win your conference to be in the championship game? This would be the most practical scenario i thought.
I think it's possible that we'll be in the NCG that way. There's no way to tell. You do not have to win your conference to go to the national championship game.
You haven't been watching? Tech came back to Earth and crash landed. They can kiss a BCS bowl bid bye bye. They will never live down this flameout.
I'm not sure you can say came back down to Earth.. they looked horrible on offense tonight, a rarity for them. Their defense has always been suspect.. we just haven't run into a complete offensive team like OU has. The only saving grace? Tech screws Texas twice in the same season. Awesome.
well, the part I left out is I see TT losing to mizzou at Kansas City in the cold if that situation unfolded. which would send UT to the championship game I don't see it happening and am happy with UT going to a BCS bowl game as well. TT is going to tumble after tonight. Hope you guys enjoyed the ride
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHA.. Fatty Fat Fat where are you? where's the win? guns up? or "L" signs up? I swear, I wasn't gonna do this, but after this onside kick, I completely lost all (as if I had any) respect for this douchebag Leach.. onside kick? seriously? they got what they deserved, Texas Tech is a freaking travesty to college football..
Enjoy your coaching search TT. You'll most likely be watching Leach and his weird ass brain coaching at Tennessee next year. You'll soon be the next Baylor in the Big 12 South.
I don't really think OSU is a good team, so I'm not on board with that. I think the game very well might've turned out different if it was @UT... but that's the schedule. I think it's a weak excuse to blame it on where it was played though. Regardless, I hope OU can take down Bama/Florida.. I'm tired of these SEC kids running their mouth. edit: and lol at any Aggie fans trying to run their mouth. That's like Notre Dame fans making fun of USC for losing to Oregon State. Unfortunately, I was victim to both embarrassing losses today.
If you don't care about going to the Big 12 CG, an OSU win over OU might not be as bad because there is NO WAY that Tech goes to the NCG now. They'll goto the Fiesta if they win the Big 12 and we'd likely end up in the NCG.
I want to see a hilarious scenario play out: Baylor beats Tech A&M beats Texas Ok. State beats OU 4 way tie!
