    Home field is huge.

Leach won't be going to Tennessee.

He really wanted that Miami job. I'm not sure how well he'd fit in with the SEC.. but I think this was his one real shot at doing something big. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if he springboards it into a bigger school. The thought of Mike Leach with 5 star recruits is scary though.

What I meant was Tech flew high into the sky for two games and fooled many people into thinking they were better than they really were. Today brought them crashing down from the perch.

Good comment about what it does to UT.

Leach doesn't fit at the other UT (Tennessee).

Jeez. None of you idiots have watched Tech this year.

Our entire defense has been doing well when "pass" is your only option.

I've watched teams try to keep up with our offense, and it fails.

Sadly, when we went down 21-0, I knew it was pretty much over. So did Leach. That was why he went for those two 4th down conversions early.

If our offense doesn't match, we are doomed.

Sad state for Fatty tonight, on several levels.

    That would be AWESOME !!!!

But that might change if OU beats OSU.....

I wonder what would happen, if UT moves to number 2......and OSU beats OU.....Tech would go to the Big 12 championship game, but would UT still go to the National championship game?

I was kidding about the Tennessee comment, guys. It's been all over the college football news, so I thought I'd play with it. He's a god in Lubbock, so I doubt he ever leaves.

Unless the aliens tell him to.

You could have trumped us all by coming in and congratulating the Sooners on their win and being humble about it, but instead you come with your typical "Idiots, morons, etc." response.

Like we expected anything else. Awesome.

Are you saying we were a "pass" only team? Sure we our QB played like a freshman against you guys, but make no mistake about it, we are still the most offensively balanced team in the country statistically, although OU may contend with that now.

Texas State undergrad, and you can guess grad school...but only for for a short cup of coffee ......however, I have lived in Austin for the last 20 years has gotten me caught up in them.

I like UT a lot....actually more than the NFL games.

Not exactly. If OU were to lose to OSU, Texas is almost guaranteed to be the in title game now. Tech could win the B12 as a conf champion and Texas likely still would be ahead of them. Even if Tech dominates Mizzou and voters put Tech at #2 and Texas at #3, Texas would have a substantial advantage in the computers over Tech (due to their non-conf schedule) and would be ahead of them in the BCS.

In that scenario, it wouldn't matter if Tech beat or lost to Mizzou. If OU wins out, they are likely in the national title game - but Tech can't get there, so all we really need is OSU to somehow beat OU. We lose any chance at the B12 title, but we almost guarantee a berth in the national title game, oddly enough.

    The things to root for:

#1: Tech losing to Baylor - then Texas controls its own destiny (but has to beat Mizzou again)

#2: If not #1, then OU losing to OSU

You tried to hit on that 22 year old at the bar, but alas she found you creepy and now you are eating soup alone tonight? More soup for you, which you always liked anyways.

No, I'm not.. and how is that even applicable? It was an honest question.

With a team playing like the Texans have, I don't really blame you. Although if you became a Titans fan because of Vince... unacceptable.

All in all, still a good year for Tech. Huge disappointment not getting to the NCG, but at this point I just hope the best team goes to take down the SEC.

Then Texas should boycott the OU game next year, since there's a chance winning ON THE FIELD won't mean anything.

The fact that OU can lose to Texas and still make the Big 12 championship, sickens me.

I agree that if OU loses to OSU, Texas is in the NC. There's no way that TT can climb up high enough even with a win over Mizzou.

We could pull for Florida to lose to Florida State and then beat Alabama and that could put UT vs. OK for NC. The country wouldn't like Texas backing in and the rematch, but it would be a great story for the OU/Texas rivalry. Unfortunately, I think that OU would win the rematch. They're playing out of their mind right now.

    Go Baylor!
    Go Ok. State!
    Go Florida State!
