2008: Virginia, #5 Ohio State, Notre Dame
    2007: #14 Nebraska, Notre Dame / Idaho
    2006: Arkansas, #19 Nebraska, #6 Notre Dame
2005: Arkansas, Hawaii, #16 Fresno State, #9 Notre Dame
2004: Virginia Tech, BYU, Colorado State, Notre Dame
2003: Auburn, Hawaii, BYU, Notre Dame
    2002: #22 Auburn, #14 Colorado, #6 K-State, #12 Notre Dame

In 7 years, Idaho is the only team at the level of the North Texas, Rice, etc's of Texas's schedule. One team in 7 years. Over that time, their non-conf schedule includes 10 ranked teams and another 5 BCS conference teams, with the remainder being Mountain West teams and Notre Dame. They try to play at least one, if not two, ranked teams each year OOC. In 2002, they managed to play all 4 games against ranked teams.

This is Texas's OOC schedule next year:

    Louisiana Monroe
    Wyoming
    Central Florida
    Texas El Paso

All four of those teams are worse than anyone USC played in 7 years except Idaho.

We were supposed to play Arkansas and Utah next year -- they both backed out.

Ahhh, I was referring to why USC schedules tough OOC schedules, not whether or not teams accept the invitation to play USC.

Dang Sam that is strong, but if you read them all you see some more clarity in my thoughts.

I still want that guy on the Rockets....

Colt has a stronger arm than Joe Montana...that is my point.

Yes - my favorite is where you claim that Spanoulis not only will be as good as Steve Nash, but make more of an immediate impact because he's a seasoned professional, unlike Nash, who came from "a VERY small college"...I could not make this stuff up, but it happened. Wow.

I might have been a little bit excited there about us finally getting an attacking PG....just a teensy bit.
