my only complaint so far...and it's a little one, is the noises the crowd makes. There is a whistle that blows, and everytime i'm in the huddle, i think i'm getting a delay of game every single play. I know it's petty, and I'll eventually get used to it. Other than that, this game is freaking awesome. The home field advantage is cool when the crowd gets hyped, the screen shakes, and it's tough for the visiting team to hear.
Just got mine at the Walmart on I-45 and West Rd. There's s big pile of 'em. I went to Best Buy first and they said it wasn't coming out until August 13th. Gotta love that Best Buy customer service... I'm going to mail my memory card to DT Lindner tomorrow. I'll play it tonight but it's really not the same without the player names. Hopefully, I'll get my card back by next week. Then I won't leave my house until December.
Got the game today, can't wait till I get off to play it. I got my rosters downloaded from maddennation, all I need to do is transfer it to my memory card and I'm good to go.
Just called Gamestop in North Austin, and they have copies of NCAA 2005. I'm holding out on Fry's...apparently they're selling them for $37.99.
I just got mine from the Best Buy in Sharpstown. The got them 20 minutes before I got there. Very good timing on my part. I'll be gone for the next day and a half at least except for the all-star game tonight.
Damn, I was just there yesterday to buy an HDTV tuner. I should have waited one more freakin' day. Time to make another trip!
I got mine today at Walmart, I was suprised it was there but I might have to wait until tommorow to actually play. I got the xbox version so I can play on live I dunno if anyone else here has it for Xbox
Finished the first season of my dynasty last night. I was in the Orange Bowl against LSU for the national championship. Down 27-21 with a minute left. CU drives the field. I get stopped on the 1. 10 seconds left, try to run no huddle, for some reason it doesn't. I quickly call a play (run up the middle) get to the line, snap it, Calhoun runs, leaps and is stopped literally on the goalline. Sigh. Finished #3 in the nation (12-1) behind LSU (12-1) and Notre Dame (10-2 or 11-2, not sure). Recruiting is a b****.
Well sure... when you're trying to convince the parents of recruits that their kids are in good hands with Gary Barnett!
Funny you mention that because I apparently didn't handle the "discipline problems" seriously enough (just went with the suggested discipline, and got docked 10 scholorships for 2 years. Just for fun, I simmed ahead about 5 years, and Virginia Tech got put on 2 years of probation -- no scholarships, no tv, no bowls.
I really love the crowd-specific celebrations for the different universities. That attention to detail really makes it worthwhile for the diehard fans. Quick question- after you create your own signs, when do you get to see them in the game? Do you have to play a human opponent, or no?
I was playing at CU tonight, and at one point the crowd was so loud I couldn't hike the ball, and I was out of TO's, so I had to take a delay of game penalty. Also, I called a hot route, and even though it showed the route on screen, the player didn't run it. Kinda cool
