I'm seriously looking forward to the Michigan State vs. Penn State game. That right there could be an upset. I also would not be surprised at all to see Alabama lose to LSU next week at LSU.
I'm glad to see TT moved up to #2...I was thinking they'd get stuck behind Penn State, even though they shouldn't be. Those rankings look fair.
As a Texas fan, I do feel bad for Ok state though... They are getting screwed in the rankings. Hopefully they rock tech next week and shoot up.
nice to see some love from the BCS... there isn't a single 1-loss team that should be ahead of Texas. how anyone could justify putting florida (although i think they're easily one of the top three teams in the country), or especially USC or OU ahead of Texas is beyond me.
No. I'm a Rice fan. My buddy who went to Penn St has been on my case to take a trip in his new RV to a PSU game. So I'm flying to Baltimore where he lives and taking the RV up to the PSU/Michigan St game with him. I think the Big(sic) Ten is a joke and should not be mentioned in the same sentence as the other power conferences
Enjoy the game. That's going to one wild atmosphere. I'm not a fan of the Big Ten either, but I'd love to experience the crowd and that game with so much on the line.
If Tech beats OSU and loses to Oklahoma, expect the Sooners to shoot up in the rankings. It isn't fair since Texas beat them, but this system has never exactly been fair.
What is not entirely that far fetched is if UT and OU end the season with a rematch (if they both win out). -There is an outside chance an undefeated PSU team could be jumped by both. PSU winning unimpressively could effect this (in voters minds). Plus PSU has some losable games left anyway. -Florida has losable games left (mid range SEC teams + FSU) + any luster lost on beating Bama (say LSU or Auburn beats them--LSU in Death Valley this week I would say is a 50/50 proposition for Bama) and they may not make up their computer deficit with Texas or OU, even if ahead in the polls. No other 1 loss/potential 1 loss team would be a factor. Tech, Bama, OSU, PSU, USC if they end with 1 loss just are not going to hve the body of work. Utah--the highest poential of non-BCS schools, even if beating TCU and BYU and finishing undefeated, is not going to catch 1 loss Texas, OU or Florida, probably not potential 1 loss Bama, Tech, or OSU either. Finally, remember in recent years WV lost to Pitt, SC to UCLA (and someone else), LSU to Ark, OSU to Illin--mid range and sometimes lesser teams can beat a tightened up better team. Happens almost every year and why it is so rare to have undefeateds play.
For the title game?! Nobody would do that Joe Parteno again, no chance in hell. But I could see them losing, maybe to MSU. That wouldn't surprise me.
I went to Utah (not a Jazz fan though) and I think TCU wins by more than a TD. BJ is not a quality QB and TCU's D will eat him for lunch. Ludwig's playcalling is horrible. I just hope that the polls give love to the conference if we do lose. A 1 loss TCU team deserves a lot more love than an unbeaten Boise team with 1 (dubiosly) quality win.
