At the most, only 4 bowl games matter this year. Nobody gives a care about VaTech against Cincinnati. The Orange Bowl got the short end of the BCS stick.
Probably one of the worst bowl seasons I've ever seen listed. I see MAYBE 4 games that interest me. The rest, bleh.
Congrats Owls on your best season in 53 years. Your reward? Western Michigan. Not a bad team really but not what Rice was hoping for either.
Bama is gonna do some nasty things to Utah. Utah can compete with some of the other solid teams but Bama is just not a good matchup.

This is going to be one of the worst bowl seasons in recent memory. Most of these games are going to be boring blowouts, and the few that won't be will be obscure matchups that nobody's interested in. Yes, that includes the title game. Except for the Cotton Bowl. That one does have me intrigued.
The Cotton Bowl will be a blowout, too. Ole Miss is a decent team but their QB is the same Jevan Snead who couldn't beat out Colt McCoy for the starting gig here at UT.
How weird is it that the Poinsettia Bowl ended up with one of the most intriguing matchups of all the bowl games?
I think Tech will win handily...but is that really a big diss? Oh wow, the guy couldn't beat out perhaps the best quarterback in the nation! That means he must suck! In theory, couldn't that mean he's the 2nd best quarterback in the country? He's not, but he's pretty damn solid.
#11 TCU vs. #9 Boise State is the best non-BCS game, bar none. It's better than the Orange Bowl. TCU has the second best defense in the nation. "Held" OU to 35 points. Should have beaten Utah after leading for 59 minutes. Boise State blew out a bunch of teams, but they haven't played anyone close to TCU's caliber. We'll see what Boise State can do away from their blue turf.
Maybe - but Ole Miss nearly beat Alabama (had the ball at midfield with 2 minutes to go, down by 4) and they did beat Florida.
Ole Miss actually has some solid players (especially on the dline), and they have been playing over their head all season. If they can get to Harrell, it could actually be a pretty good game.
For his first year starting, Snead is actually playing really well. He has a hell of an arm, that's for sure. He could've played at Florida or Texas if both schools didn't have Heisman caliber players in front of him.
Don't get me wrong, I think the guy is a decent QB. The problem is when he was fighting McCoy for the starting role it wasn't the same Colt McCoy that is playing today. I'm glad the guy got to start somewhere and is doing well but I don't think his team will be able to beat Tech unless Leach takes a job prior to the game and leaves the team in a state of limbo.
they were both freshman, and he was a true freshman and it was a close competition. Alot of people were disappointed to see him leave.
Chik-Fil-A (Georgia Tech vs. LSU), Capital One (Michigan State vs. Georgia), Cotton (Ole Miss vs. Texas Tech), and Fiesta (UT vs. Ohio State) will be fun to watch. Very disappointed with the Texas Bowl. Western Michigan??
The Holiday Bowl (Oregon vs Oklahoma State) will be one of the more exciting games in my opinion. This will be a fast paced, high scoring shootout which the Holiday Bowls have traditionally been. GO DUCKS!
Go Big Ten! Hopefully the Longhorns are as pouty as some posters here and Ohio State sneaks an upset. I think the Rose Bowl matchup looks great. USC is the clear favorite, but Penn State's only loss is on a last second field goal -so they have something to prove to the BCS as well. Should be a hard fought game. I've been to several Alamo Bowls and they are always fun no matter who is playing. Northwestern is good this year, they should spoil Chase Daniel's Senior trip to Texas. I think Georgia will beat Michigan State in the Cap One and I hope Iowa/South Carolina will be a great way to show Shonn Greene to a national audience with a hard fought victory on the ground.
