i dled the demo of xbox live mktplace but havent had time to play it...any others with opinions on the 360 demo?
So to anyone who has this game on psp and /or xbox 360, is it just a re-hash of '06? Whats new?! I'm also curious about the simulation speed (sim games/recruiting). Does it run faster now that it's made it's way onto the 360? I'm imagining the psp is deathly slow?
Ugh. That guy's a punk. I've heard about way too many scams that he's involved in. Personally, with the PS2, I've always gone with a guy named Blacklover's rosters. You can find some info on that in the MaddenMania.com forums. I would post the link to his thread, but the site is down because it's NCAA morning. It'll probably be back up this afternoon. As for XBox & 360, check out FKRosters.com. I've heard good thing about his stuff. I think he also does PS2 rosters, but Blacklover's work is top notch. I'm going to pick up my copy in an hour or so. Taking a vacation day from work.
well I picked up the 360 version last night on my way home. And I planned to just go home and go to bed but I just could not pass up a chance to go ahead and play the game. The game interface has completely changed, but I like it so far. I played one game UofH vs. Rice and man I took out the owl's. It seemed the dropped passes are not there in this years game which I hated last year. The animations seem done very well, and overall I really like it so far. I am looking forward to getting off of work and getting some more playing time in.
Hmmm, like what? Last year, I sent my card to him and forgot to include my 'donation' and he copied it for me anyway. Does he make the rosters himself or get them from someone else?
I see so many people complaining about "dropped passes"... you guys do realize that you have to switch to the targeted reciever and catch the ball manually, right?
In NCAA 06 there was a huge problem with dropped passes. It is not switching to the receiver because I do that on every pass. They would be wide open and drop half the passes. It was a bad frustrating bug in last years game. This year that does not seem to be happening so far.
I picked up the 360 version this morning at EB. They had the PS2 version sitting right next to the 360 version. I only looked for a few minutes, but the 360 version is missing a couple of things even at first glance. There is a new 'Stadium Pulse' feature that actually shows an audible wavelength display plus a db display that is a minor thing, but is cool as hell. Also, the momentum indicator is different. The gameplay is a bit faster than the 360 version. On the other hand, the 360 has two mini-games that actually are fun as hell. One is Bowling. Yes, Bowling. You are at the 10 yard line and you have 2 plays to get in the end zone. If you get in on the first play it is a strike, if you get in on the 2nd one it is a spare. Then you go on defense to stop the other team from getting in the endzone. It is scored like bowling. The other game is Tug of War. You start at the 50 yard line on offense and you alternate offensive plays until one team gets in the endzone. As simple as those games sound, they are fun as hell. I could see these minigames played for hours in dorms all year. There is a 3rd one named Option Relay that I didn't try out. I can't give much else as I didn't play both for long. I will say that the UH stadium is nothing like the real-life thing. Maybe the stadium on the game is what it will look like when/if they ever do all the renovations. I am not sure why they couldn't just port over the stadium from the XBox. Also, the ESPN content is different. The 360 version has the ticker that gives real-world updates and updates from your dynasty. The ps2 version gives real-world sports updates from ESPN radio. I was at EB, with no internet connection, so couldn't really test this out.
What are the primaries differences between Regular Xbox version and Xbox 360 version ( I have regular Xbox.)
Anyone else click on here thinking this was a real football thread? And out of curiosity, are the differences between each year so great that it's worth $50 or whatever?
Roster, graphics, new features, etc... But if anyone is interested in discussing some real NCAA football, I'll start a new thread.
A friend of mine actually made it onto the splash-screen of the UH teampage. So far I'm liking all the changes, except kicking.
*Disclosure -- I've helped BlackLover with his CU rosters before so I might be biased* I know BL one year put in five or six "flags" to see if DT Linder was stealing his rosters. He'd name a player the wrong name or something like that. Linder's roster had all of the same "mistakes" on it that year. Plus, I've heard from a few people that Linder never returned their cards to him but I don't know if that's true or not because it was just message board scuttle. Best thing to do is to get one of those transfer kits so you can just download the rosters. I had the Max Drive and it worked great. Plus that way you can find all of the rosters and choose the one you like best. OK, I'm just going to cut and paste the report I put on the CU board I post on of the game. It's heavily slanted towards CU, but you guys might find some of it interesting.
I have used his rosters every year and have had no problems. I've used BlackLover's too and just didn't car efor them. It's a personal preference. As for the "He copied them" stuff. I've seen a lot of people claim it but I've never seen any proof (No Offense Nugs 4). In fact his rosters have been released first the last couple of years.
None taken. Some people take the roster thing WAYYYYYYYY too seriously. Like I said, I'm not sure I believe the allegations of memory card theft. I still think the best thing to do is to get something so you can download the rosters (Max drive, etc.) and then try them all.
