I don't know that you can call it a choke. Sure, Ohio State got off to a good start, but do you feel like they had this game wrapped up and gave it away? Furthermore, do you feel like they are the better team and are gift-wrapping a win to the Tigers? I guess I feel like my answer is no to both questions. OSU knocked down LSU in the first round, so to speak, but LSU came back with some wicked counter punches, knockdowns, and are aiming for a TKO....
It's a choke because Ohio State was up 10-3 and gives enough yards in penalties to let the Tigers score which turned the momentum completely in LSU's favor. Go Rockets, Go Bucks! (even if you both always break my heart...)
Sorry, I can't say this was a choke. It's like the Rockets being up 15 points in the first quarter. There's still a lot of game left at that moment. It's not like it was OSU's game to lose after being up 10-0, despite the quick opening.
I guess we just disagree on what a choke is. It's all good. I'm glad LSU won. Even with two losses, I did feel like they were potentially the best team all season long.
THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE: A team playing in a mediocre-at-best conference with 4 out-of-conference cupcake games. No wonder they were #1 in total defense prior to this game.
Notre Dame should just go ahead and join the Big Ten and it make it the ultimate conference of the overrated.
Agreed 100%. Playing essentially a road game didn't help, either! But, at the end of the day, can't say I'm too surprised, although I thought it might be a little closer.
I think Ohio State was overrated this season. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. Next year was supposed to be our year. We'll be back again next year.
I agree that this was supposed to be a rebuilding year after Ginn, Troy Smith, Antonio Pittman, etc. all moved on. I think circumstances like a weak Big 10 and everyone else knocking each other off more than anything else put them in this position. However, with that said, I don't know if they'll be back. There is going to be an even BIGGER backlash than last year, and that non-conf. game against USC will loom large over the season.
Exactly. Get in line buddy, Georgia and Florida are both young teams, and are both slated to have big seasons. I'm sure there are others worth noting too.
Or perhaps Florida 86, All-Star team of Sooners and Buckeyes who mutually suck ass in the BCS nowadays, 7.
