Stats don't matter much in D-league. The Rockets are paying attention to other things. If he's not showing he can defend, then he won't play in real games with the big team. That's just how it is.

For those who saw the game, please tell me this L. Lyons guy listed at forward (who had 29 and 16) wasn't being guarded by Morris.

Very true. If he's upset about being in the D-league, scoring alot of points wont prove anything. Its doing all the small things defensively that Parson's puts effort into doing that will get Morris minutes in the NBA. Hope he figures that out sooner rather than later.

Last year, Patterson went to the D-League and did exactly what the Rockets wanted him to do. When he was brought back to the team, he got minutes.

Morris needs to take a page from Patterson and really focus on the things he was told he needs to improve. Just shooting mid-range ISO jumpers isn't going to get him into the rotation.

This kid is going to get an opportunity at some point in the NBA (At the three or the four) .Count on it. Either with the Rockets or somewhere else. He's too gifted offensively at his size not to. There plenty of average defenders getting NBA minutes. Lets just hope we don't have 40 future threads asking why let this guy go without giving him a shot, Lord knows we haven't had enough of that around here these days.
