I don't know...it seems like the Rockets play too many help defense leaving people wide open all the time. Like having a big guy help stop penetration EVEN before the dribbler is attempt to do that...i mean it works sometime, but it's been killing the Rockets lately imo. The dribbler would stop penetrating and then see someone else wide open on the other side of the court as a result of doubling or attempt to double by the big guy.

I think the reason they play that kind of defense is because Martin and Brooks suck at defense...they can't guard 1 on 1 period. So the Rockets have to play help defense every single time.

its real simple aaron brooks cant guard anybody in this league, but on the other hand nobody can guard him. But his defense HAS to improve if this team wants to go anywhere

I'm still not sure why they are calling it the "tasty underside".

Should it not be the sour, bitter, unsavory, putrid, rank, rancid, nauseating, moldy, putrescent, fetid, noxious underside of the Rockets' defensive so far?

I've been saying this since last season when so many fans put all their defensive hope upon Yao's return:

two weakest guards + one slowest center = instant pnr defense disaster.

AB/Martin together with Scola/Yao will make the team much less balanced than Lowry(without inury)/Martin with Scola/Yao. Unlike last season, the gain of AB on offense will not offset the loss by AB/Martin pair on defense.

And also blame the coach for making Brooks even play defense.
