Not really, I would think that suggesting that O'Brien was using an offer from the best available NFL coaching spot as "leverage" would be considerably more embarrassing.

Getting both would be pretty much impossible unless Bridgewater's draft stock falls like Geno's did last year.

Wanted Manziel if we stayed at 1 but would definitely prefer to trade out ... Chance we still end up with Bridgewater or Bortles who may be the guy they want anyway .. Not really sold on anyone as #1 overall and would prefer Manziel in Cleveland in case he does pan out .

You won't have to worry about Manziel panning out period.

Drafting Manziel at 1 overall would be a decision that would get coaches fired

I think the GM and HC on the team that drafts Manziel in the first round will be fired within the next 3 years.

And best be sure that they would have difficult time finding a job in the NFL after that.

Heck I wouldn't trust their decision making and scouting abilities

i don't believe this... I mean sure they might be intrigued by him but there is no way they are already trying to move up... they haven't even seen him up close at the combine yet or interviewed him.

this is just some writer trying to get some clicks on his article.

#2 going to the Browns, ha!

****hole city with ****hole team where QBs/careers go to die.

Good luck, to whoever the next QB of the Browns is.

Hahaha wonderful news. Ripping off the Browns and getting Bridgewater is probably my favorite draft scenario.

well, the Saints were the far and away favs in their divsion, and what happened? Carolina won that division.

Nobody expected that Arizona would be so close getting into the playoffs.
nobody expected that San Diego and Kansas City being in the playoffs this year.

even Pittsburgh, they started 0-4 and were scratched off from the playoffs, but they were one missed FG to make them.

so its not difficult for the texans to make the playoffs, next year with some great additions.

I dont know how people can already predict next season, before the draft and free agency.

Think he would be a good pick. Not sure if the team around him will be decent but I think he would be great. Wilson did some crazy stuff today to keep plays alive. To think Johnny Kardashian couldn't do the same thing doesn't make sense.

    1. Wilson has a stronger arm
    2. Wilson is not as reckless
    3. Wilson is a better decision maker

On top of the fact that Wilson's vision in the pocket was poor when san fran blitzed up the gut.

Oh and Wilson has a top 5 defense and Marshawn Lynch

One more thing, Wilson was much more polished coming out of school.

Would disastrous to take Manziel in the 1st imo

How do you quantify their decision making abilities? Manziel would not have had such a tremendous about of success if he was a bad decision maker. He almost always played great against great teams. Manziel also has made some long long throws. Also not sure how you have analyzed their arm strength. How many passes did they throw for more than 50 yards in college? Where is that info available?

More polished out of High School? What are you basing that on? Did you see him in High School? Manziel was rated higher in his year than Russell was in his. Based on Rival stars or Espn rating.

I don't think it would be a mistake taking him in the 1st. People need to realize it's impossible to predict how QBs will fare in the NFL. It's so random. For Every Manning and Luck there are 5 other burnouts. It's a lottery.

    1. Polished going into the NFL...
    2. Simple eye test shows that Wilson as more zip on his down field throws at 25 yds+
    3. Manziel makes some very questionable throws into coverage which he gets bailed out by his receivers
    4. Going back to the polished, Wilson was much more pro ready than Manziel

You may not be able to predict but you can make it easier but cutting the potential wastes

1)You said polished going into college. Are you saying you meant to say NFL? I don't know about that. What about Manziel isn't polished? He tears through defenses and makes it look easy.
2)That's HIGHLY anecdotal. You can look at Manziel highlights and see "zips". Even if that is the case, there are plenty of QBs with huge guns that don't make it and vice versa. As long as you can hit the long ball, there are so many other factors that make the difference.
3)Again, HIGHLY anecdotal analysis of Wilson's play vs Manziel. All QBs throw behind their receiver or too high. How well do you know the A&M receivers vs Seattle.
    4) What are you basing that on? Look what Manziel did in his last game? He is just as ready. He could barely do any better next year than he did in his 1st two. What does this even mean?

Nothing in your two posts seems to be be based on anything quantifiable and seems to rely almost all all the games you have seen with both QBs which I can't imagine is most of them.

While it's fun to debate, no one here has the skill or resources to evaluate talent that O'Brien has.

Just like Morey, if O'Brien wants a player, I want that player.
