Nah we were the perfect mismatch for the Bulls. Dream + 3 guys who were an automatic 15 and any could get 20. Too many options for Pippen and Jordan to shut down. Maxwell to make Jordan work. The Bulls beat us once during the first 3-peat, and lost five times.
What many don't consider is that Chicago may not have made it out of the east even with full strength Jordan in 94 or 95. The Knicks, Pacers and finally the Magic all continued to improve. In 95, when Jordan came back and started to play at a high level in the Magic series, they still had no answer for young Shaq/Penny.
Was watching this yesterday. I wished Shaq and Barkley would have been on the panel to hear their take during the era. As a kid who grew up watching the 00's, I've always wanted to know more about the 90's era and it was very insightful listening to them especially Isiah's tidbits about Malone, D. Scott's take on the Orlando team, and I was especially pleased to hear a lot about our Rocket's championship years. Steve Kerr is definitely my favorite person on the panel.
Don't know why Barkley wasn't there. He was definitely a key figure in the 90s. Glad Shaq wasn't there, he would have been full of excuses on why he lost to the Rockets. Props to Isiah for talking about the Rockets guards.
I assume we're all talking about the 94 Bulls. Because the 95 Bulls were in the playoffs sans a power forward...but Jordan shot better those playoffs and averaged more points per game than he had in his 2 previous championship runs....and they still got their ass whomped by the Magic, because they couldn't match up with Grant and Shaq down low.
Kenny was right about obvious mismatch with Dream. Rocket fans as well as Bulls fans know that the Rockets were a horrible matchup. Isiah mentioned that the Rockets were similar to the bad boy pistons, which beat Jordan many times.
no, he would make dumb excuses here's one: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XLBk4W8ZjMU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Game 7 Indiana Pacers at Orlando Magic Box Score, June 4, 1995 Game 1 Houston Rockets at Orlando Magic Box Score, June 7, 1995
