I dont want to sound like a douche but I hope Kirilenko is out for the season because of that injury and I hope Dirk is suspended.

Hey, dont blame me, non rockets fan think the same way about Yao's injury

Why wouldn't he get suspended? He made no attempt for the ball. That was a dirty play.

He will probably get one of those BS "superstar" bailouts.

If Karl Malone still played for the Jazz, either Jet Terry or Jason Kidd would have gotten a concussion or broken nose before the game ended.

That was a HARD foul. It was not unnecessary/excessive which is why it didn't get flagrant 2 but it was a stupid foul. There was no reason to foul someone like that. That's why I honestly think he should be suspended.

I don't think there was malicious intent but that was truly a stupid foul. He could have easily (not easily maybe, but possibly) broken Kirilenko's collar bone, or damaged some nerves in his neck, not to mention *possibly* paralyzing him, a la TJ Ford.

I think Kirilenko is all right. He will be back soon. The wheelchair was just in case. No way you can get up and drill 2 free throws and have it be that serious. Not saying he acted or anything but he's probably a tough enough dude he will be back. No way he's out for the season or any extended period of time.

I hope he's not hurt though. And I didn't see it, but I hope Dirk is apologetic for that stupid foul because there's no need for that crap. As much as I hate to admit it, Dirk seems like a nicer guy than to do something like that and not apologize or look even remotely sorry.

Maybe I have just seen too many fouls like that turn into something terrible, but I really think that was a bad, bad foul.

You know what was most ridiculous? Dirk got up and initially wanted to argue the foul call.

You know, I blasted Al Horford for what he did to TJ Ford. But for some reason, I don't feel as bad for this one......

I don't want to see Kirilenko get hurt either or for that matter anyone. I want to see the Rockets win against full strength opponents.

I don't like the Jazz, but you hate to see something like that happen to AK or anyone. Dirk is a douchebag.

if there was no reason for dirk to foul him that hard, then it was by definition unnecessary. it isn't a court of law where the officials try to determine whether dirk intended to cause injury to ak47. im not sure intent is even part of the rules. and in any event, dirk clearly intended to commit a hard foul with no play on the ball, bring ak down, and it was both unnecessary and excessive. i actually think dirk is a nice guy and like you say, didn't intend to hurt ak47. but he committed the foul, and the league needs to protect its players by punishing potentially injurious fouls.
