For me it's not a debate over who is a better player, its Kobe, but tmac can't be blamed for the 1st round exits...there is only so much you can do, 05 exit to dallas, we had old tired legs (james, barry, sura, wesley, )...07 exit to utah, JVG was using an 8 man rotation, guys were tired/fatigued and addition to having old legs, (juwan howard, mutumbo), we lost bc our guys were not hussling and getting looseballs, 08 we finally have guys like landry, scola, battier that scrap for loose balls and hussle, but then we lose our all star center...he just has not had a very strong team to play with him in the playoffs.

It's over like the Steve Francis era, but we'll still see "When will coach play Steve" threads til the planet gets invaded by robots.

Exactly!!!!!. Look at KG and look at McGrady's situation. To me I believe they are in the same boat only time will tell. It took KG forever to get out the 1st round and I believe McGrady is following in his footsteps.

I really don't think you can compare Kobe and McGrady just for the fact that injuries have haunted McGrady and they basically don't play the same amount of games. But in the past some said McGrady was better because he didn't have no one while Kobe had Shaq so he really didn't have to do that much. Then as you know Shaq left and Kobe basically struggled and he couldn't win against the Suns so as we know Shaq came out and won with Wade. Then the famous video "Kobe you can't do it without me" :D

All I have to say is LOL... Cassell to the Clippers to the 2nd round? LOL
No a GOOD TEAM took them to the second round. And T-Mac never choked in the Playoffs his team has. Maybe you do not understand the BIGGER picture. It is a team game, and you need a good team around you to be successful.

Thank God I watched the Rockets in the Akeem/Hakeem era when I can actually be proud of our highest paid player.

    Kobe minus shaq...

    04 - 07 Lakers = 2 first round exits and 1 non playoff appearence.

Guys we should stop this because Tmac is going deeper in the playoffs this year than any team he has ever been on.

NBA Playoffs: Cassell's experience pays off for Clippers

    By JOHN NADEL

    The Associated Press

    CHRIS CARLSON / AP

Sam Cassell celebrates during the final seconds of the Clippers' win over the Suns.

LOS ANGELES — Sam Cassell loves playing in the fourth quarter and wants the ball when the game is on the line.

After spending just 35 seconds on the court in the final quarter of Game 3 in the Western Conference semifinals, the 36-year-old point guard knew he would get an opportunity in Game 4.

    ------

    the BIGGER PICTURE is:

    WE ARE BETTER WITHOUT TMAC
SIGNED - THE REST OF THE WORLD MINUS TQUACKS

That is a poor excuse. Actually against Dallas we had that series. You can argue old tired legs but I think thats kind of over doing it. If that was the case we wouldn't have been up 2-0. That out of bounds call had somewhat a factor considering the game was over if we would have had position.

07 series against The Jazz we had it. Game 7 on our home court. We basically won the game. I really forgot what happened and the main reason we lost ( Haters plz don't say because of McGrady :( ) but we did and thats that.

Last year we basically didn't have a chance. Toooooo many injuries. :(

Tracy McGrady makes $20 million, he can buy himself a ticket and sit with the Rowdies and cheer us on in the 2nd round!

First of all, your quote proves nothing... It only proves that Cassell has been there before. Ok, anyways, This discussion started about ORLANDO T-Mac.. And if that one was still around, he would do wonders for this team. Only people that cannot see that are T-Mac haters.

I'll guarantee you that the media and some people on here will find a way to not give him credit and say he still hasn't led a team out the first round if we make it out. :(

Sure he does, he took the time to make sure he got his knee healthy, and this action alone made the Rockets a much better team.

    Dude,

The Orlando Tmac was responsible for them getting the #1 pick in the draft.

The Orlando Tmac is what we got for Steve Francis.

This is real stuff, this isn't a billion dollar Ponzi scheme.

and yes Alex English and Bernard King were both better than Tmac.

None of those are excuses for losing....it's just stating the quality of players that surrounded him. When your playing a grueling 7 games series, age and fatigue does factor in....and that it did against the Jazz in 07 for sure.
