The theory behind p2p is that the more people on the faster and less choppy it is, but from my experience it seems to buffer even slower when there are a lot of people on. Can anyone explain this?
maybe some dicks limit their upload speed, so they take more than they can give? DSL and cable usually have faster download speeds than upload.
http://www.sopcast.org/ i know this one can´t anyone with a good connection give a try a tell us? I won´t be able to do it till weekend
sopcast works very well, although the quality is only 288kbps...so it's a little smaller, but it works very well.
http://wwitv.com/broadband/44.htm Has channels from all over the world. -No program to download -CCTV5 - not great quality [I prefer pplive] -Star Sports - pretty decent quality
According to PPStream's FAQ, if you use Windows XP SP2, you may need to apply a patch to remove the outbound TCP connection limit (10). The following link provides more information. http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=1497. PPLive and PPStream perform a lot better on my computer after removing the limit.
Since this is the case, then why don't we all band together and choose one program and one channel to all get onto. Then we'd all get to enjoy the game smoothly...
I saw on another board that tonights Hornets game will be on the Shanghai Sports Channel on PPstream. Here's the download link to PPstream: http://www.ppstream.com/bin/ppstreamsetup.exe Once you have the program setup, click this link to open up the Shanghai sports channel: ppstream://218.78.215.42:11011/5B2KELBQGOEN33KIUTMXB6AUH6Y3L23R The PPstream channels isn't as high a quality as that one PPlive 800K channel, but the interface is much more user friendly. It's pretty much all in Chinese, but the layout is pretty intuitive. They have the channels on the left and the screen in the middle. And you can collapse the sides to make the screen bigger. If only they streamed at higher quality, I would use it over pplive for the rest of the games.
I think pplive is the best I have seen so far. However not all games are on pplive, so we might need the other ones somtimes for out of towners like me.
So I'm completely new to this streaming thing...how do you know which one of these channels it will be on, is there any way to know before the game starts? I mean, is the game on all of them, or does it just depend on the night?
Seems like PPlive has it too. If you have pplive intalled, try to open it by following this link: Then click the Play button for ShTv-Sports Channel It didn't work for me, because it said that "pplive was not a registered protocol", but maybe it will work for you. Otherwise you might have to stick with ppstream.
