The first time I saw Perkins, I was damn, that's Goliath. Its because of the nose. The nose is identical.

I would add Jason Maxiell to the best fighters list. He's got a scary look as well.

Best fighter ever, Calvin Murphy, hands down.

there are numerous account clips of the 5' 9" Murphy decking PFs and Cs who are over over 1 foot footer than him.

Best.. Chris Childs- strait punked Kobe... Doug Christie- remember the infamous uppercut to Rick Fox? and then threw a couple good combinations on slick Rick in the tunnel.. Charles Barkley- always willing to mix it up whether player or mascot

Worst.. Kobe.. got strait owned by Childs while slowly and wildly flailing his arms while getting tagged... Rick Fox- all style very little substance (see above explanation)... Shaq O'Neal- remember when he swung a point blank HAYMAKER at Brad Miller and completely wiffed? and the Charles Barkley takedown? wow

funny how the worst were all fakers.. mayb a team shoulda punched them and mayb they wouldntve 3 peated, iono im jus sayin

how can Iforget about Stephen Jackson and Jermaine Oneal? those 2 were absolute beasts during that unfortunate brawl and Oneal owned big baby in the 1st round this year and Jackson is about the toughest guy in the game

KG is in a tie with Kobe for the worst fighter, remember the Sedale Threet elbow and KG did nothing? and the backpedal and girl swing in minn? KG is like a chiuaua all bark zero bite lol.. this was a fun thread

Supposedly Kobe studies or had studied Jeet Kune Do. But go figure on that one.
But based on actual NBA fights.....Ron Ron and J.ONeal.
Ron basically had the balls to fight all of Detroit, and J.Oneal was the guy who gave that running punch to that fat Piston's fan.

Why the hell does Ben Wallace keep getting mentioned? He's never thrown a punch in the NBA. You can't make the list if you've never been in a fight. Shoving Ron Artest and then posturing like you really want to fight doesn't count.

I would say the best fighters are probably going to be the guys who are not too tall and who have some sick core strength. Oakley and Anthony Mason are two names I've seen in this thread that I definitely agree with.

Honestly, I think players from the 80's and back would probably destroy the toughest guys in the league now. Those old fights were just nasty compared to the little girly scuffles you see now. I really wish the NBA was not so strict on it's fighting rules. I think if players could expect to get their grill smashed they might play a little less dirty *cough* *cough* Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard.

Got to have Carmelo on this list. One of the biggest p*ssy moves I've ever seen at the :45 mark.

I know I'm in the minority, but I still don't blame Ron for going into that crowd.

Nor do I think Captain Jack was in the wrong. You protect your own.
    So:

    Ron-Ron
    Jackson
    Sheed
    Jermaine O'Neal
