I think both Roy and Joe Johnson are some of the more overrated players in the league

How in any way is Brandon Roy overrated? You don't see him in ESPN everywhere like LeBron is, you don't see him in commercials all the time like LeBron or Kobe.

Brandon Roy is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He is not overrated at all, even his stats show he isn't overrated.

Do you have NBA League Pass? If not I guarantee you rarely ever see Joe Johnson play since the Hawks are almost never on national TV.

JVG said it best, When T-Mac is healthy, he is as good as anybody not named Kobe or LeBron.

For me, it's a tough tie between Johnson and Roy as well. However, one thing people may not consider is the experience JJ has over Roy. He's been in the league for more than twice the time Roy has, and JJ has been in the playoffs (and more than just the first round). That intangible puts, at least in my mind, Joe Johnson over Brandon Roy as the 3rd best SG.

I'll take a guess and say he hasn't seen the declined T-Mac.

    No one is healthy 100%.

Kobe has a pinky injury (on the shooting hand) that needs surgery and he took the team to the finals.

Sadly, even if T-Mac's knees are good, his shoulder apparently needs surgery. And when Tracy's knees are good, and he doesn't play well, that will be the next excuse from his fans.

Seriously... 3rd best shooting guard? Anyone right now will take Brandon Roy, Manu, and even Joe Johnson over him right now.

As a rox, you have to vote Tmac.
As a purist, you take Joe Johnson/Brandon Roy.
As a Fantasy prospect, you got to say vince carter.

Personally, Durant is a very special player. His not there yet, but with his size and shooting ability, he will be there some day.

If TMAC was healthy, i'd choose him over any of these if I was going all out to win a championship. TMAC easily is the most talented of them all with Brandon Roy and Joe Johnson close.

    TMAC
    Roy
    Johnson
    Manu
    Carter

Tracy definitely can be a clear-cut 3rd, if not fighting Wade for 2nd best. But we will see.

i wanted to add that O.J. Mayo is putting up impressive numbers. He'll be in this talk soon.

When it comes to playmaking, passing, and court vision, those other guys in the poll can't hold his jock. The problem has been health and shooting efficiency. But the way he played against Denver, if he could play like that every game, I wouldn't take anyone over him; not even Kobe, not even Wade.

Co-sign, most of those other guys, like Johnson, Ginobili, and Roy are primary scorers, if you take away the ability to score, they're almost useless.

With T-Mac, he has shown that he can dominate a game by scoring or even being a great passer. I think he could easily be in top 5 or 7 for assist, if he really wanted to and also be a great defender.

I even think he's probably the best passer on this team...probably the best chance HOuston has at a title.

I think he will save his best for nights they really need him and the playoffs.

Voted Roy. Big time playmakers like TMac except hes on his way up. Tmac is on his decline but can still make plays and lead the team.

Roy is a great passer. Ginobili is good but not on Roy/Tmac's level. Roy is just as great as Tmac when it comes to distributing the ball and creating opportunities for others. Roy is basically whats keeping the Blazers together regardless of all that talent.
