    I've had this problem with every NBA 2K game since 2K9.

    Still have 2K9 on my shelf. Also picked up NBA 2K15 last year for PS4, in an attempt to give it more of a chance on the new console generation. But the feeling of being locked in animations for way too long... the feeling that the game was designed to look good rather than play well... persists.
