    I think that's reasonably optimistic.

You should read more closely. He didn't say we're at number 4. He said there are at least 3 teams better than us.

I love it when Kelly Dwyer whips up a piece on the Rockets. Unlike many reporters, he knows Rocket history and knows that many of us know him here from his occasional unrelated bbs posts and would call him out if he stumbled. He understands the importance of Jeff Beck's 'Truth' album which kinda nails it for me.

I'd like to see the Rockets come in a little less above the radar, but really, we are all expecting 5 best or better aren't we?

I think we're better than the Clippers and Warriors.

Kelly Dwyer should be given his own tag. I almost didn't click because of the recent quality of Yahoo's "sports writing".

We could be good to great but we have to prove it. I have no problem with this.

I'm expecting a disappointing playoff run followed by vast improvements next season. I'm also expecting to love the hell out of every minute of this season.

“I think there are probably at least three teams better than us if not more,” Morey said

Plus he makes it feel like Robert DeNiro is down with the Rockets.

if harden learns to play defense and team ball, we will be as good as anyone except Miami. I think even OKC will have problems guarding us given Dwight will be a tough match up and he will elevate our defense

Well there are several teams I'd rank ahead of us right now:
    1. Miami (champions)
    2. Spurs (Finals last year, very slight dropoff this year)
    3. Pacers (East finals, got better in offseason)

    Maybes:
    1. Clips (got better in offseason)
    2. Nets
    3. OKC

So worst case, I think we're top7 overall, top 4 in the West. Which is ridiculous if you think we have possibly the 2nd best player in the NBA and a top 10 player, but the competition is way too tough next year. And with Sixers getting 4 lottery picks in the most stacked draft in years we could be looking at another dynasty in the making in the East. Yeesh

The Rockets are within striking distance, but so are several others teams. It's about whether Dwight buys in and can stay healthy. Nothing is more important than that.
