I don't know what to think about the game? Inside, I really want the Celtics to win, because at least our chances for #1 spot would be bigger. But on the other hand you don't wanna them to beat your amazing streak...
I knew this game would have a great finish. What's the point of watching 4 quarters of San Antonio defense. I caught the last 7 minutes and it was good. Richardson with the terrible defense, Mason with the win. I still think it was a good trade for Phoenix, they rely on their offense to win games. True.
if i knew the spurs were going to have parker or ginobili drive and kick it out for a corner 3, why didn't terry porter or jason richardson? what was richardson even doing? parker was blanketed by hill and would have had to take an incredibly tough shot and on top of that richardson flies into the air so he has no chance of recovering. i know that the #1 rule in any NBA game is that if you absolutely don't want to give up a 3 (up 2 or 3 with a few seconds left), then a team will make sure to give up a 3. i've been saying it for years and i knew it would happen again. and like clockwork, richardson flies into the air at nothing to double team a completely covered parker to leave like a 48% 3 point shooter wide open when his team is up 2. it's astounding really. stick with the 3 point shooters, force the tough 2. it's not that tough. but since i have no love for phoenix and enjoy watching stupidity cost teams games, i kind of enjoyed watching that 3 swish through on the suns home floor, even if it was the spurs.
Our streak will still be amazing even if the Celtics surpass it. Still top 3 instead of top 2. It wasn't the best anyways. The Celtics winning has the potential to be good for the Rockets, even if that potential is small. 1 game made a big difference in the final West standings last season.
Richardson collasping to help on Parker was beyond stupid. A 2 only ties the game while giving up the wide open 3 wins it.
Yeah J-Rich screwed up the last play but if the Suns as a team played better D down the stretch this wouldn't have been a single possession game. I wish the Suns would have went to Shaq down the stretch. He can force a double and create for his teammates. Most of the time they iso Amare and he faces up. From there you just have to hope the ball goes in because if he misses the other team is likely to get the ball. The Suns still play like crap down the stretch and the Spurs still dominate in the clutch.
Yup. Specifically, the Hornets needs a decent starting SG the most. They also need more toughness. Posey can't change the attitude of a team by himself; he can only accentuate what is already there, which is what happened in Boston. Before the season started, I was torn between thinking last season for the Hornets was a magic carpet ride or the first of several seasons of contention. I still can't decide for sure but it looks like the former. But it's early.
why are international stars so soft? pau had a dunk after 2 pump fakes right underneath the basket but resorted to laying it up and missing it. pau gasoft
its rare to find bigs with soft touch like Pau who are aggressive inside no matter where they come from.
it's beyond being aggressive. you're right underneath the basket, dunk the damn ball. that's like common sense. idk, these guys just don't like the contact i guess. i'm watching the game with friends who are laker fans and they are just in disbelief
In particular, international BIG men. Ginobli has forced me to qualify it to that, but yea, you are right.
even manu doesn't dunk. scola plays very much like manu (crafty around the rim). but they both still refuse to dunk. we need some power back in this game. watching this is mind-boggling. imagine if the future of the game is like this.
