Now they can send us a third apology letter for the out of bounds call on Dwight from game 4 which was clearly off Aldridge yet they strangely said it was off Dwights leg. I wonder if they have ever had to send multiple "apology" letters about 1 player in 1 series ever.

rescinding is such a waste of time.
once the tech was called it set off a timeline and chain of events that would be totally different had the tech not been called. the fact that it's 1 point doesn't matter, we'll never know what would have happened had the tech not been called.

So is anyone going to comment on the phantom foul called on Wright on Daniels' three that gave the Rockets three free throws?

While I understand they try to appear to the public that the league is fair to everyone, but they should never done this ****, it can only add the fuel to the fire. What good does it get you? It won't change the outcome of the came, only makes the NBA look really bad.

What about this no call that led to a Portland fast break???

BTW: Daniels was hit on the forearm / wrist. Replays showed it clearly.

Why not review this kind of stuff while the game is still being played? Doesn't even need to be done live by the refs and can be done remotely at the league offices. That way any points scored off of technical foul free throws can be rescinded as well.

    Yao Ming Rockets??

Because teams would overdo it. It will slow the game down too much.

People used to complain that the league would never acknowledge that they make mistakes. Now that they're acknowledged, everyone says 'thanks for nothing.' Stern's policy was probably better. If you can't do anything to fix your mistake, just bury it.

While admitting you (NBA) have a problem is the first step, if you don't actually do something about it then it really doesn't mean anything.

Silly me for thinking that once the rockets got a superstar or two that we would actually get the calls that stars get, instead what we've seen are no-name scrubs get calls over our stars.

One thing that I think is becoming obvious.......modern players are too fast for refs to keep up with. Too many calls are on the margin or just outright missed.

IMO, 3 steps need to be taken to make officiating better in the NBA.

    1) Remove calls that NBA officials can't consistently make.

    2) Add a review official. If the refs can't decide within a few seconds who the ball went out on, then it goes to the review official, who also has a time limit. If he can't make a determination....best guess. Also, he can review tech's at any time and review fouls during the last 5 minutes of the game and overtime.THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH OVERTURNING A CALL. It happens in the NFL all the time.

    3) Get this player tracking technology moving. If it can judge momentum, then we can get rid of some flops.

    hahahah wow....

    1) it wasnt a phantom call
    2) officials missed a call on Harden's 3-pt attempt with 18secs left in OT
    3) officials made the wrong on call on Dwight after the Harden 3 with 18secs left in OT
    3) officials swalled their whistle in regulation just before Lin got ripped, he also got hacked on this arm, across his body by Lillard.

    keep on trollin brotha...

This happened twice! This one in OT and then there was one in the 4th where we tried to foul them at half court and the ref didn't call it (would have been side out), but then the ref called a foul on us at the rim causing two free throws.

When we get fouled, no call. When we want a foul, no call. It's ridiculous.

This. If they can't tell the coaching staff and timekeepers table why the hell the tech was called, just own up to the mistake and correct the call. Telling us two days later after an overtime loss is ridiculous.

You know, I was in favor of them acknowledging blown calls when they started doing it. But being on this end of it where they acknowledged a swing of 4 free throws / 1 free throw plus Howard on eggshells all game respectively, I almost don't want to hear it. Stop acknowledging your crappy calls and make better calls.

TV broadcasts are usually able to show a replay with a good angle in 5-10 seconds. It's time to have an officiating crew that uses this technology for QUICK decisions on tight calls via fourth official rather than spending 10 minutes a game going to official review and still missing things. Don't know if he was shooting a 3 or a 2 when fouled? Go ahead and line up for the first free throw, I'll tell you after shot one whether there's a third. Controversial out of bounds? Don't spend 3 minutes deciding, I'll have the call for you in 15 seconds guys.

I have a lot of skepticism for blaming losses on officials, I really believe multiple bad calls go both ways every game so it's silly to focus on one, but the Howard tech was as inexplicable as it gets.

I love this line. Pretty much captures it exactly.

This is not a game now it's a political match and league head game of potential revuenue, longer series, who is most marketable. There is no 'winner' . We are all losers. This is really really bad what's happening REALLY BAD.

It is a joke. That ship has sailed.

I'm on my way out too. Life long fan since 80s. Now I watch for the laughs like one would watching a play or wrestling. Anyone half way normal cannot take any of this seriously. Major reform might get me to watch aka - my girlfriend is banging the whole neighborhood and if she reforms, as a dumbass I *might* stay. WOW. this is where we are at.

We are the avid fans that are being lost. Has NBA considered the non avid fans that really push their revenue? If the avid fans don't care then what?

I have been addicted to other things in life before and walking away is usually the best way. Cold turkey. I won't be able to quit tonight but I have already found myself watching other things.

Last night I watched freaking anderson pooper and re runs of full house instead of warriors and clippers. Not because of sterling or anything else but because I am losing interest FAST. With the comcrap issue, these refs issue, this whole situation has become a diminishing returns joke that just like drugs or anything else you begin to ask why? what is the point? I can tell you this is not nearly as addictive as chocolate or crack cocaine. In that regard nba is a shi**T stain in the background fabric of my life. No high to even get. It gives nothing. To leave these guys wouldn't require any great intervention and truth is I would be better for it in many ways when I am watching a living joke.

This relationship with us fans is hanging by a thread and they aren't listening. Nothing is being done and rescinding a whole series at this point is where we are at. I'm thinking cold turkey. F these guys and this league.

overall great great post chievous minniefield.

Got lots of shovels and a huge killing field to bury all those mistakes? We will need a crew of a million men to cover this debauchery.

    motto right now reads:
DOWN 3-1 SHOULD BE UP 3-1
    FEELS GOOD
