http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-offseason-teams-set-up-to-fail yes i know its poopsworld but i thought i show you guys this
It is right, except for the doomed to fail part. Since we have so many unknowns, we could be better than expected.
Well, if failing means sucking then I wouldn't mind that at all. In fact, I kinda hope we are worse -- in terms of record -- than (some) people think.
should be good news for the pro-tankers if you believe poopsworld. Im not too worried about the pieces that apparently dont fit. I see a team that is potentially positionless. Having 4 to 5 guys on the court at the same time that have true PF size, and can push the ball up the court, and facilitate the offense as well. That seemed to work well for Miami last year. Not saying the Rockets are going to end up with anywhere near the same success, but they have the pieces to run a similar sized lineup, and still remain efficient defensively. I think this is where the NBA is going sometime in the future. That being said when you look at experience alone, this team should project to be one of the worst in the league. If they end up with a close to winning record, or even make the playoffs, then that means there is some serious all-star talent coming from our rookies. If they end up where they are projected, then Houston will finally have that high lotto pick (and maybe another from Toronto) that the pro-tankers have been craving for years.
What? My fellow Clutchfans have convinced me that we have to roll over and let the over team win every night, because a top 10 pick will guarantee us a championship soon. Death to competitiveness! And this article, is not to be taken lightly. After all, it explicitly says: "Omer Asik still has much to proven on the NBA stage." Touche.
It's like it was written by a kid... or someone whose primary language is not english. This pursuit eventual doesn't proven anything.
I hope you're right, but I still want Lin to have a healthy successful season, especially since the butt hurt NY media is cheering for him to fail.
