Not according to the conf semifinals matchup. Nitwitz shot 40% and was 36% in the first 4 games of the 5 game series. Webber got the better of him. He is more a complete player, and Nitwitz hasn't shown he can takeover in the conf semifinals against equally matched teams, when he needs to.

And don't anyone even try to bring up his 42 pt performance in the 5th game elimination game in 2001 when they got trounced by 20pts by the Spurs, to lose 4-1.

how do you figure? he's got good inside moves and can knock down the 3. Also a fairly good rebounder.

Last I checked, Sacramento was better than Dallas. Dirk did what he could do, but when the remainder of the team can't hold it's own against the remainder of the Kings lineup, then it doesn't matter what Dirk does.

Let's look at the head-to-head matchups, though...

    Game 1: Dirk 23pt, 14reb / Webber: 20pt, 10reb, fouled out
    Game 2: Dirk 22pt, 15reb / Webber: 22pt, 12reb (Dallas win)
    Game 3: Dirk 19pt, 5reb / Webber: 31pt, 15reb
    Game 4: Dirk 31pt, 11reb, 7ast/ Webber: 30pt, 10reb, fouled out
    Game 5: Dirk 32pt, 12reb / Webber: 23pt, 7reb

It's clear that over the entire series, save for game 3, Dirk was the better player than Webber. He was able to actually stay in the games instead of foul out or be in foul trouble (in only 1 game did CWebb have less than 4 fouls) and make an impact at the end of a game.

If you're deriding Dirk for the playoff performance against the Kings, you're looking at the wrong player. When you let Mike Bibby, Bobby Jackson, and Hedo Turkoglu score 50 combined per game - with Bibby accounting for 20 of those - you aren't going to win many games. Last I checked, Dirk doesn't guard any of those in a normal matchup scheme.

Watch out mfclark, most of the people on this board do not like hearing the truth, especially if it goes against their biased opinions

    My vote is for C-Webb

No, HeyP and others just have their own opinions which they are trying to defend, just like I have my own opinions that I am trying to defend. I wouldn't call them biased or anything, just their beliefs which I respect, though I don't agree with them.

    Webber.

I looked at a couple of guys to pick off of that list, but every time I think about it all I can see is Webber and his little pouty face.

Webber...it was a tossup between he, Dirk, and Payton and I just feel that overall, Chris has less to do with his team's success than the other two.
