Dirk's proven just as much as he has in much fewer years in the league; team-neutral, Dirk's simply the better player. Goodbye, Chris Webber.
You are right. In much fewer years, Nitwitz has proven he'll never play defense, can't pass that well, and can show up in important playoff series with soft play and poor shooting %.
This has to be some sort of violation. No voting twice. Heypee has me convinced: Dirk Diggler is gone.
He's also proven that coming into his 5th season at the age of 24, he's still a better player than Chris Webber. His job isn't to pass - it's to shoot. He still averaged 2.3 apg during the playoffs and 2.1 during the regular season, even with Nash around. His career shooting percentage is 46.5%, also shooting 44.5% in the playoffs. As for not showing up in important playoff series, I guess you forget the battle he and Duncan had in the series versus the Spurs, where they traded off clutch baskets to keep each team in there? Saying he'll never play defense is a rather broad (and likely rather inaccurate) statement. He's still learning on the job, yet has proven he can carry a team. Chris Webber? Disappeared, letting Bibby run the show. Given the choice between the two as to who should stick around, it should be Nowitzki based on both present and future performance.
