It's really sad to see Sega struggle like they are. Sega makes better sports games than EA in my opinion. Because they lack the money for big marketing campaigns like EA, their sales suffer. EA makes average games at best, the reason for outselling Sega is because they have the deep pockets.
Whats wild is that Visual Concepts makes the Sega Sports games, who also made games on Super NES 10 years ago for EA SPORTS, hence is why they kickass. Sega has already ceased all Sports titles on Gamecube cause of the suffering in sales, so we'll see where they go from here.
True, VC knows what they are doing. Although I think EA makes football a little better, but that's about it. Street is actually more fun for me than either Live or 2K3. Also...while Sega bailed, EA signed an exclusive deal to lock down titles for the next year. They want to do exclusive content to GC versions of their games, including finally using GBA/GC connectivity. (Like we've been hearing about for the last year)
So what modes have you guys beaten? I am alternating between be a legend and NBA Challenge. I am up to about 250/500 in Legend and only have the Southwest to beat in NBA mode. I am playing on easy level and have only lost one game. I lost the court challenge were you have to get to 250,000 GB points. I did not read the challenge rules because I thouhg it was a tournament. I have a maxed out shooter so I just block a bunch of shots and shoot 2's so the games go by faster. I was plugging away and didn't notice that there was no score. I scored probably about 30 points and then the game ends. I couldn't figure out why until the stat screen told me. I generally play Legend with my created character(gold crown shooting and max Dunks and Blocking) Stretch Monroe and a various NBA player, it has been Jason Richardson, Stockton and Tony Battie. I play NBA mode with 2 created players and Yao. I really enjoy the fact that they put in the different modes. that has helped to hold my interest and keep me from getting bored quickly. CK
Just picked it up, pretty sweet, right now i am doing the tourney so i can unlock more people and i am using the lakers just so i can whoop ass with shaq.
