Well, I've been to Canada, several times--and I'm going back in a few months. If I had said something like that, you could rest assured that it was prompted by nothing more than pure, unadulterated jealousy.
LOL!! Ok, now I know what some of you think about when you think Canada. We also have mountains you know. I mean real mountains, the ones with snow on top. Hey Pole, I'm still trying to scare up some good and relatively obscure info for you on the Prince George/Prince Rupert leg. I have another option for you to consider too. If you like the mountain travel you could consider coming back from Vancouver to Calgary via the Crow's Nest highway, close to the US boarder. It's quite different from the more northern routes. Parts of it are very dry, almost desert like, but there are also some beautiful, large, lakes. There are lots of orchards along the western portion, though there won't be any fresh fruit at that time of year. There are a couple of major land and rock slides along that route too, at Hope near Vancouver and Frank near the Alberta border. It's about 14 hours driving time from Vancouver to Calgary and there are lots of options for places to stay along the route, including Nelson, the place Deckard (sp?) has talked about. Keep me updated on your plans!
Last time I checked, Iran was on our side(I think). I hope that was just a typo, but the "Q" and "N" are not anywhere near each other.
I just fired you an e-mail. I hate to say it......but we're going to miss out on Calgary....AGAIN. The good news is that's an excuse to go back. I'd like to go back there when it's cold again. Anyway, we're spending the majority of our time on Vancouver Island.
Check again. Please review the past 24 years of Iran-US relations as well. It was not a typo. It was half a joke.
hope you enjoy it man, i live just out of Vancouver...but i'm in guatemala on a 6th month trip...left Jan. 1st. But yeah, if you like skiing or snowboarding...make sure to either hit whistler...or check out some of the local mountains (grouse, seymour, cyprus)...and then go check out the beach! i really recommend 2 days in vancouver area - stanley park, gas town, and all that good stuff. but victoria is also beautiful. enjoy.
Rachel Nichols, for those who are lucky enough to see her, is the hottest sportswriter you're ever going to see.
